The evening of June 7th was an unexpected delight for the audience of ‘Em Xinh Say Hi’, as a traditional Vietnamese dish, sticky rice with coconut milk, took center stage. This delightful treat was prepared by the ‘Dong Dao Xinh Gai’ team, comprising Miu Le, Orange, Vu Thao My, My My, and Quynh Anh Shyn, as a special gift for the live audience.
After their performance, the five girls brought the sticky rice on stage to charm the audience during the first round of voting, and lucky MC Tran Thanh was the first to indulge in this treat.

Tran Thanh couldn’t hide his satisfaction as he took the first bite, enthusiastically mukbanging on stage and praising the dish as “delicious.” His enthusiasm even left the other ‘Em Xinh’ feeling hungry as they watched him enjoy the treat.

The sticky rice prepared by ‘Dong Dao Xinh Gai’ was a masterpiece: soft and sticky rice wrapped in banana leaves, topped with finely ground mung beans and shredded coconut. The dish was then drizzled with creamy coconut milk, creating a perfect blend of sweet and savory flavors, making it a delightful and appealing traditional dish.

However, the cheerful atmosphere took a brief pause when Tran Thanh, halfway through his portion, discovered that the mung beans had a slightly sour taste. This wasn’t due to any fault of the chefs but could be attributed to the nature of the lengthy television recording process.

Sticky rice with coconut milk – a traditional Vietnamese delicacy
It is common for shows like ‘Em Xinh Say Hi’ to have extended recording sessions, sometimes lasting up to 24 hours. To prepare enough sticky rice packages for the audience, the ‘Dong Dao Xinh Gai’ team might have had to prepare the dish in advance. Mung beans, when left at room temperature for an extended period, can ferment, altering their taste, which could explain the slight sourness Tran Thanh experienced.
Despite this minor hiccup, it’s undeniable that the ‘Dong Dao Xinh Gai’ team’s clever strategy of enticing the audience with delicious food was a unique and charming touch to the show.
Tran Thanh’s company earns 10 dong in net profit and 7 dong in gross profit, achieving super profits with blockbuster movies like MAI, Nha Ba Nu, Bo Gia, …
According to the producer’s announcement, MAI Movie has now grossed over 381 billion VND in revenue. As a result, it is expected to become the highest-grossing Vietnamese film in history.
