On June 18, the People’s Council of Mui Ne Ward [in Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan Province] held a mid-year meeting and voted to remove the Chairman of the People’s Committee of Mui Ne Ward from office.

At the meeting, after reviewing the proposal submitted by the People’s Committee, the delegates discussed and voted to approve the removal of Mr. Bui Ngoc Lam from the position of Chairman of the People’s Committee of Mui Ne Ward.

On May 15, the Chairman of Phan Thiet City People’s Committee issued a decision to suspend Mr. Bui Ngoc Lam from his position as Chairman of the People’s Committee of Mui Ne Ward.

Mr. Lam was suspended pending an investigation into his responsibilities in land and construction management in Mui Ne Ward. The suspension lasted for 15 days, starting from May 15.

Prior to this, the Phan Thiet City Party Committee Standing Board held a meeting to discuss solutions to address difficulties in state management of land in Mui Ne Ward.

The Standing Board acknowledged that state management, particularly in land management, in Mui Ne Ward has shown signs of loosening in the past time.
