There has been a growing interest from Vietnamese consumers in robust and long-distance-friendly scooters, including models such as the SYM Naga 150, Yamaha NVX 155, and Honda ADV 160.
While the first two models are already available in Vietnam, the Honda ADV 160 is only accessible through private importers, resulting in a higher price point. Rumors of Honda officially releasing the ADV line in the country have been circulating for years, but it has yet to come to fruition.

A recent television broadcast featured footage from inside a Honda factory in Vietnam, along with videos illustrating the assembly process of an ADV scooter model, sparking speculation about potential local assembly and official sales.

However, it is important to clarify that the scooter assembly footage was not filmed at a Honda factory in Vietnam. The videos are, in fact, from Honda’s Atessa plant in Italy, and the model being assembled is the ADV 350.
The use of this footage was likely intended solely to illustrate the assembly and production process, and not to suggest that the ADV models would be locally assembled or sold in Vietnam.
At this time, there are no indications that Honda plans to introduce the ADV line of scooters in the Vietnamese market, and Honda Vietnam has not released any official information regarding these models.

The Honda ADV line of scooters has garnered attention from Vietnamese consumers due to its robust and rugged design, making it suitable for long-distance travel and light off-roading.
Currently, Honda offers three models in this line: the ADV 160, ADV 350, and X-ADV. Additionally, the Honda Forza line, which includes the Forza 150, Forza 350, and Forza 750, shares the same engine as the ADV line and is also well-suited for long-distance travel, particularly on paved roads.
The Honda ADV 350 has been a highly discussed model due to its high price point in the private import market, reaching nearly 300 million VND. If officially released in Vietnam, consumers could expect a price below 200 million VND, making it a competitive option in the premium scooter segment, rivaling the Yamaha Xmax 300.

The Honda ADV 350 is powered by a 329.6 cc single-cylinder engine that delivers approximately 28.8 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 31.5 Nm at 5,250 rpm. Compared to popular scooter models like the SH160i, the ADV 350 offers nearly double the power.
In terms of fuel efficiency, the ADV 350 consumes approximately 3.4 liters per 100 km, and with an 11.7-liter fuel tank, it can cover over 300 km on a full tank.

The scooter features a TFT display and smart key technology.
In terms of design, the ADV 350 boasts a rugged look with overall dimensions of 2,200 mm in length, 895 mm in width, and 1,430 mm in height. With a ground clearance of 145 mm and a seat height of 795 mm, the scooter is better suited for taller riders.
The Honda ADV 350, and the ADV line in general, stands out with its upright riding position, adjustable windshield, two-tier seat, and aerodynamically designed front end. The scooter also features a 37 mm inverted front fork, a dual-shock rear suspension with a preload adjuster, and ABS-equipped front and rear disc brakes.
Additional features include Honda’s HSTC traction control system, ESS emergency stop signal, a digital display with Honda RoadSync connectivity, smart key technology, and a convenient USB-C charging port.
