Sony is set to officially introduce its new noise-canceling headphones, the WH-1000XM6, to the Vietnamese market. This is the successor to the WH-1000XM5, which was hailed as one of the best noise-canceling headphones in the world.
With the WH-1000XM6, Sony has pushed the boundaries of technology by equipping it with the new QN3 signal processing chip, delivering superior noise-canceling performance, especially in noisy urban environments or open-plan offices.

Additionally, the new headphones utilize a system of 12 microphones, a 50% increase compared to the WH-1000XM5, combined with AI algorithms to enhance call quality and optimize noise cancellation in real time.
Aside from performance, the design is also a notable improvement. The WH-1000XM6 marks the return of the foldable hinge mechanism, a feature that was absent in the XM5.
While maintaining a minimalist aesthetic, the headband is now thicker and plusher, and the button layout has been rearranged for easier operation. There’s a slight weight increase, but this results in a more secure and comfortable fit.
In terms of connectivity, the headphones support Bluetooth 5.3 and, for the first time, integrate the LE Audio standard along with Auracast functionality, enabling future audio sharing with multiple devices. Audio quality has also been enhanced thanks to new drivers that use carbon fiber materials, delivering a more balanced and detailed mid and high range, while retaining the deep bass that the XM line is known for.
Battery life clocks in at around 30 hours with noise cancellation active – on par with the XM5 – but now includes fast charging, providing three hours of use from just a three-minute charge, and the ability to use the headphones while charging, a feature absent in its predecessor.

Sony Vietnam has yet to announce the official pricing and release date, but according to sources, the WH-1000XM6 will have an attractive pre-order program launching sometime in June.
The release of the WH-1000XM6 is seen as a significant move by Sony to maintain its stronghold in the premium wireless headphone segment, amidst increasing competition from the likes of Apple, Bose, and Sennheiser.
