On the afternoon of June 19, 2025, the Ministries of Industry and Trade and Finance announced adjustments to the selling prices of gasoline and oil products.
In this price adjustment, the Ministries continued to not use the Price Stabilization Fund for E5RON92 gasoline, RON95 gasoline, 0.05S diesel oil, kerosene, and mazut.
After the adjustment, the selling prices of popular gasoline and oil products in the market are as follows:
E5RON92 gasoline: not exceeding 20,631 VND/liter (increased by 1,169 VND/liter compared to the current base price), 613 VND/liter lower than RON95-III gasoline;
RON95-III gasoline: not exceeding 21,244 VND/liter (increased by 1,277 VND/liter compared to the current base price);
0.05S diesel oil: not exceeding 19,156 VND/liter (increased by 1,456 VND/liter compared to the current base price);
Kerosene: not exceeding 18,923 VND/liter (increased by 1,412 VND/liter compared to the current base price);
Mazut 180CST 3.5S: not exceeding 17,643 VND/kg (increased by 1,182 VND/kg compared to the current base price).

Regarding the reason for the sharp increase in gasoline and oil prices, the Ministries stated that the world gasoline and oil market during this price adjustment period (from June 12, 2025, to June 18, 2025) was mainly influenced by the following factors: escalating conflict between Israel and Iran in the Middle East; the ongoing military conflict between Russia and Ukraine… These factors have led to a significant increase in world gasoline and oil prices in recent days.
Specifically, the average price of world gasoline and oil products between the price adjustment period on June 12, 2025, and June 19, 2025, was as follows: 83.088 USD/barrel for RON92 gasoline, which is used to blend E5RON92 gasoline (increased by 6.340 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 8.26%); 85.128 USD/barrel for RON95 gasoline (increased by 6.464 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 8.22%); 87.578 USD/barrel for kerosene (increased by 7.838 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 9.83%); 89.556 USD/barrel for 0.05S diesel oil (increased by 8.050 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 9.88%); 476.846 USD/ton for 180CST 3.5S mazut (increased by 40.694 USD/ton, equivalent to an increase of 9.33%).

In this price adjustment, given the fluctuations in world gasoline and oil prices, exchange rate movements, and current regulations, the Ministries of Industry and Trade and Finance decided on a price adjustment scheme to ensure that domestic gasoline and oil prices are suitable for the world gasoline and oil prices. To continue to maintain a reasonable price difference between bio-gasoline E5RON92 and mineral gasoline RON95 to encourage the use of biofuels in accordance with the Government’s policy; and to ensure a balance of interests between market participants.
