On June 18th, the People’s Committee of Da Huoai District submitted a report to the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee regarding the construction of an unauthorized building on the Bao Loc Pass’ protected forest land.

According to inspections by authorities, the structure was concealed behind a row of tall metal sheets, blocking the view from the pass. It has a total area of 740.6 square meters (with a front width of 13.1 meters, a back width of 19.1 meters, and a length of 46 meters).
Despite the thorough external shielding and absence of occupants, a bustling construction site lies behind these tall barriers. Over 40 concrete pillars have been erected to divide the entire foundation into small compartments ranging from 10 to 15 square meters, and multiple bathrooms have been roughly constructed with cement flooring.

Notably, according to authorities, this unauthorized construction is entirely within the protected forest land of Lot I, Compartment 1, Sub-compartment 581b of the Bao Loc Pass’ upstream protected forest, which is under the management of the Nam Huoai Protected Forest Management Board.
On June 14th, the People’s Committee of Da M’ri Township conducted an inspection, established a record, and ordered the cessation of the illegal construction. At that time, the individuals present at the construction site could not produce any relevant documents or meet the legal construction requirements.

Numerous concrete pillars have been erected, dividing the space into kiosk-like sections.
A review of land origin records indicated that the area is designated for forestry purposes and classified as protected forest land under the management of the Nam Huoai Protected Forest Management Board.
The People’s Committee of Da Huoai District has instructed the People’s Committee of Da M’ri Township to issue a cessation order for the illegal construction, investigate the violation, establish an administrative violation handling procedure, and remedy the consequences.

The total area of the structure built on the Bao Loc Pass forest land reaches 740 square meters.
