In the early hours of June 19th, authorities in Ho Chi Minh City responded to a fire incident in Binh Thanh district.

Around midnight, the fire started on the ground floor of a residential and office rental property located in an alley on Nguyen Gia Tri Street, Ward 25. Upon noticing the blaze, residents alerted their neighboring households to evacuate and then attempted to extinguish the fire with mini fire extinguishers, but to no avail.
The fire intensified, forcing people to flee the building. It quickly spread across the ground floor, sending plumes of thick, black smoke into the air.
Ho Chi Minh City’s fire prevention and control, and rescue forces were dispatched to the scene to tackle the blaze. Rescue workers found a young woman and a man suffering from smoke inhalation and safely evacuated them from the premises.
It took approximately 30 minutes to extinguish the fire, and thankfully, there were no casualties. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
