On June 19th, a signing ceremony was held between subsidiaries of SSI Securities Corporation, including SSI Asset Management (SSIAM), SSI Digital Ventures managed by SSIAM, SSI Digital Technology Joint Stock Company (SSID), and their partners: Tether, U2U Network, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). This event marked a significant step forward in building a robust ecosystem for digital financial infrastructure, blockchain technology, and cloud computing in Vietnam.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, Chairman of SSI Securities Corporation’s Board of Directors, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Anh, CEO of SSIAM, Mr. Mai Huy Tuan, CEO of SSI Digital, Mr. Nguyen Phan Dung, SSIAM’s Vice President, Ms. Quynh Le, Tether’s Director of Asia-Pacific Development, Ms. Trang Phung, CEO of U2U Network, and Mr. Eric Yeo, General Manager of AWS Vietnam.

During the event, several memoranda of understanding (MOUs) were signed, showcasing a shared vision for promoting digital infrastructure development in Vietnam. Specifically, an MOU between SSI Asset Management (SSIAM), SSI Digital (SSID), and Tether was inked, formalizing their collaboration to boost the growth of digital assets and technological expertise in the country.

According to Ms. Quynh Le, Tether’s Director of Asia-Pacific Development, Tether is focused on building digital financial tools that anyone, anywhere, can use. The organization believes that Vietnam is at a pivotal moment, and SSID, as the digital arm of Vietnam’s leading securities company, is uniquely positioned to lead the development of digital assets in the country. Through this partnership, Tether aims to share its international experience, technological expertise, and global infrastructure network.

The event also witnessed an investment agreement where SSI Digital Ventures committed to accompanying U2U Network in developing Layer-1 blockchain infrastructure in Vietnam, especially in practical applications in the fields of DePIN and decentralized computing.

Additionally, SSID, AWS, and U2U Network pledged to collaborate on building hybrid infrastructure models that combine cloud computing services with decentralized networks, targeting financial, data, and e-government applications in the near future.

As shared by Ms. Trang Phung, CEO of U2U Network, U2U was born in Vietnam with the belief that blockchain technology, when built correctly, can serve practical purposes. SSID’s decision to partner with U2U is not just a financial handshake but also a recognition of their relentless efforts in building a robust, resilient, and globally ambitious infrastructure.

With SSID’s support, U2U will gain additional strength to continue expanding not only technologically but also in terms of influence, thereby becoming a blockchain infrastructure serving the future decentralized sharing economy.

A Breakthrough for the Blockchain Ecosystem, Digital Financial Infrastructure, and Cloud Computing

In the current context, Vietnam is striving to build a transparent, efficient, and internationally integrated digital economy. Connecting traditional infrastructure with new-generation blockchain technology will create a robust ecosystem. Combined with a stable liquidity platform and Vietnam’s leading digital financial institutions, this ecosystem will effectively support financial, data management, and e-government applications in the near future.

The signing ceremony not only signifies a collaboration between leading organizations in digital finance, blockchain, and cloud computing but also symbolizes a step forward in aligning private enterprises and the public sector in the national digital transformation journey.

Mr. Mai Huy Tuan, CEO of SSI Digital

Notably, this event takes place at an opportune time as the Vietnamese government demonstrates its clear orientation toward supporting technological innovation through a series of important policies and legal documents. Most recently, the Law on Digital Industry was passed, prioritizing initiatives related to AI, blockchain, cloud computing, and open data, providing a clear legal framework for the robust implementation of public-private partnership models.

The signing ceremony also marks the first time in Vietnam that such a collaboration has been forged, bringing together domestic financial and blockchain technology organizations and a global cloud service provider, all working toward a common goal: creating a flexible, secure, and scalable digital infrastructure for the entire society.
