Vingroup’s subsidiary, Thai Son Construction Investment JSC, is seeking an environmental impact assessment for the Quang Hanh golf course project in Cam Pha, Quang Ninh Province. The company revealed that the 18-hole golf course project spans 100.6 hectares and entails an investment of VND 886.5 billion (USD 35 million). The project is expected to be completed within 24 months after the land is handed over.
The project’s investment items include the golf course, auxiliary works (staff housing, public service utilities, parking lots, and roads), occupying an area of 967,810 square meters or 96.1% of the total golf course planning area. Public service utilities span 9,964.6 square meters (1.0%), while staff housing covers 2,176.8 square meters (0.2%). The project is slated to operate for 50 years from the date of the investment registration certificate issuance.
In May, the Quang Ninh People’s Committee approved the investment policy and selected Thai Son Construction Investment JSC as the investor. Concurrently, the Cam Pha City People’s Committee, Quang Ninh Province, proposed a forest purpose conversion of 101 hectares, including 100.6 hectares allocated for the Quang Hanh golf course project.
According to Thai Son Construction Investment JSC’s report, golf is a beneficial sport for physical and mental health, helping to prevent cardiovascular diseases and reduce stress. It has quickly become a favorite sport for many people. The golf course offers an ideal natural environment for relaxation, health improvement, business discussions, and relationship building with partners, providing new investment opportunities.
Currently, Quang Ninh has three operational golf courses: FLC Golf Course and Tuan Chau Golf Course in Ha Long City, and Mong Cai International Golf Course in Mong Cai City. Two other golf courses are under construction: Dong Trieu Golf Course in Dong Trieu Town and Ao Tien Golf Course in Van Don Special Economic Zone. Additionally, one golf course is in the investor selection phase.
As per the master plan, Quang Ninh will be allowed to develop 16 new golf courses, including potential locations such as the An Bien golf course in Ha Long City, the Quang Hanh and Ha Loan Island golf courses in Cam Pha City, the Cai Bau mountain golf course, the Ngoc Vung Island golf course, and the Quan Lan Island golf course in Van Don Special Economic Zone.

Thai Son Construction Investment JSC is headquartered in Vinhomes Riverside, Viet Hung Ward, Long Bien District, Hanoi, and was granted a business registration certificate in August 2007.
