Viettel’s impressive growth in numbers

The Ministry of Defense has recently released periodic information for 2024 regarding the Military-Telecom Industry Group (Viettel), showcasing significant growth across various indicators.

As of 2024, Viettel’s consolidated total assets reached an impressive VND 344,564 billion, reflecting a VND 48,000 billion increase since the beginning of the year, equivalent to a 16.2% growth rate.

Notably, long-term assets doubled, reaching VND 133,919 billion. This substantial growth was primarily driven by a nearly sevenfold increase in long-term financial investments, surging from VND 8,796 billion to VND 62,856 billion.

Equity capital also witnessed a significant boost, increasing by nearly VND 16,300 billion to reach VND 205,978 billion. Additionally, liabilities rose from VND 106,858 billion to VND 138,586 billion, with short-term debt accounting for the majority at VND 101,363 billion.

Viettel’s revenue and profit growth

According to the report, Viettel achieved a remarkable total revenue and income of VND 193,715 billion in 2024, surpassing the plan by nearly VND 9,000 billion.

Pre-tax profit reached VND 54,337 billion, while post-corporate income tax profit stood at VND 41,951 billion, reflecting a 17.2% increase compared to the initial plan of VND 35,779 billion. This figure also represents a 19% surge from the previous year.

Viettel’s employees also benefited from these outstanding results, with an average monthly income of VND 33.5 million per person, marking a 10% increase over the planned amount.

Viettel’s contribution to the state budget

Notably, Viettel’s contribution to the state budget amounted to VND 46,345 billion, exceeding the plan by approximately VND 3,500 billion, or 8.2%.
