
Ninh Binh’s tourism industry is experiencing remarkable growth in the first half of 2025, serving over 7.2 million visitors and achieving nearly 80% of the annual plan. The total revenue from tourism and service activities is estimated at VND 7.7 trillion, indicating a vibrant and promising season.
Especially in June, Ninh Binh maintained its stable growth trajectory by welcoming more than 660,000 visitors, solidifying its position as a leading destination in the Red River Delta and the country.

International visitors and overnight stays increase significantly
According to statistics from the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism, of the total number of visitors in the first six months, over 1 million were international tourists. The number of overnight stays was also impressive, with nearly 1.4 million, an increase of more than 21% compared to the same period in 2024. These results are attributed to the synchronized stimulus measures implemented since the beginning of the year.
The Golden Charm of Tam Coc – Trang An: A Signature of Summer
A highlight of the tourism activities was the annual “Ninh Binh Tourism Week: The Golden Charm of Tam Coc – Trang An”, held in late May. The event showcased the impressive images of golden ripe rice fields alongside the romantic Ngo Dong River, attracting numerous domestic and international visitors. It has become a distinctive symbol of Ninh Binh’s summer tourism.
Hang Mua Lotus Pond at Its Most Beautiful
Currently, the Hang Mua lotus pond in Hoa Lu is in full bloom, displaying its vibrant pink hues against the lush green backdrop. The poetic scenery, combined with the majestic mountains, has transformed the area into an ideal check-in spot, attracting thousands of visitors daily. It is not only an ecological tourism highlight but also offers unique cultural and spiritual experiences for travelers.
Aiming for 9.1 Million Visitors This Year
With the positive results in the first half, Ninh Binh’s tourism industry is approaching its target of 9.1 million visitors in 2025, including 2 million international arrivals. The current growth rate indicates that exceeding the target is well within reach.
After the completion of the administrative consolidation and reorganization, Ninh Binh, along with Ha Nam and Nam Dinh, are focusing on regional tourism development. It is projected that the total number of visitors to these three provinces in 2025 will reach nearly 15 million, with a revenue of approximately VND 13.4 trillion. Ninh Binh continues to take the lead in this endeavor due to its abundant natural resources, unique cultural heritage, and continuously improving service system.
