Accelerating Human Resource Training for the Aviation “Mega Project”

With just under two years until the official operation of Long Thanh International Airport, Dong Nai province is expediting training and local human resource development solutions to cater to the airport’s needs.

The Long Thanh Airport project is being accelerated to meet the government’s deadline.

The provincial People’s Committee has instructed relevant departments to promptly propose specific action plans. One key task is to organize a Long Thanh Airport Job Fair, expected on August 23 in An Phuoc commune (Long Thanh district), to connect businesses and job seekers, especially students from local vocational, college, and university levels.

Connecting Information and Facilitating Recruitment

For efficient coordination, the Department of Education and Training is responsible for inter-sectoral connection through digital platforms and developing extensive communication plans regarding recruitment needs and job opportunities in the aviation industry.

The Dong Nai Job Service Center (under the Department of Home Affairs) will mobilize resources to support event organization and reach out to job seekers. Additionally, educational institutions will actively provide career guidance and disseminate recruitment information to students.

The province also proposes developing a specialized digital platform, including a website and mobile application, for training and human resource supply for the Long Thanh Airport. This platform will be integrated into career orientation programs in high schools, enabling students to explore aviation-related careers earlier.

Through this platform, students, job seekers, and residents can register for vocational training, seek employment, and stay updated with recruitment information from aviation businesses.

The provincial People’s Committee also recommends that the Vietnam Aviation Academy collaborate to provide technical and training content support, ensuring the program’s quality and practicality.

Commitment to Local Employment

Alongside training solutions, Dong Nai aims to establish strategic collaborations with leading enterprises in the aviation industry. The province has proposed a memorandum of understanding with the Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), the Vietnam Aviation Academy, and related units, including a commitment to hiring locally trained personnel.

The latest progress of the Long Thanh Airport passenger terminal, the project’s most important component.

The signing of the memorandum of understanding is expected on August 21. This step ensures that Dong Nai residents can access high-quality job opportunities in their locality, which is emerging as one of the region’s largest aviation hubs.
