The Khanh Hoa Land Development Center recently announced that it has taken over and is managing the land along Tran Phu Street, which was handed over by Sovico Limited Company following the provincial People’s Committee’s decision to revoke the land.

The decision to revoke the land used by Sovico Khanh Hoa, located in the old Ana Mandara area on Nha Trang beach, took effect immediately upon its issuance on May 28, 2025.

The total area of the two out of three plots of land recently revoked in the old Ana Mandara area is 6,207 square meters, with a total frontage of 89.2 meters facing Tran Phu Street and overlooking the beach.

The province of Khanh Hoa’s recent policy has been to redevelop the entire beachfront along Tran Phu Street, addressing the issue of encroachment on public spaces. Several projects and constructions that had blocked access to the beach were forced to be dismantled to restore the area and provide access to the beach for locals and tourists alike.

Thirty-five years ago, the Khanh Hoa provincial authorities leased over 20,000 square meters of beachfront land in Nha Trang to Sovico Limited Company for the development of the Ana Mandara resort project. Subsequently, the company’s leased land area was increased to 28,189 square meters, extending about 0.5 kilometers along the beach and Tran Phu Street.

Sovico Khanh Hoa Company inherited the lease of the Ana Mandara tourist area (as per the provincial People’s Committee’s decision on June 13, 2014) and later expanded to build the Ana Beach House Bar Restaurant on Nha Trang beach.

The entire leased area of Sovico Khanh Hoa (28,189 square meters) on Nha Trang beach expired on December 31, 2018.

However, it wasn’t until January 17, 2024, that the provincial People’s Committee issued a decision to revoke 20,166 square meters of land belonging to the old hotel and resort area of Ana Mandara.

The remaining area of over 8,023 square meters was granted a lease extension by the province until December 31, 2024.

On May 28, 2025, the provincial People’s Committee issued a decision to revoke the land used by Sovico Khanh Hoa in Zone 1 and Zone 3, with a total area of 6,207 square meters as mentioned above.

Zone 2, with a total area of 1,815.9 square meters and a 26.5-meter frontage on Tran Phu Street facing the beach, remains in use and operation by Sovico Khanh Hoa Company.
