Specifically, the retail price of Petrolimex gas (including VAT) for August 2025 in Hanoi is VND 416,100 per 12 kg domestic cylinder and VND 1,664,100 per 48 kg industrial cylinder, a decrease of VND 18,100 per 12 kg cylinder and VND 72,600 per 48 kg cylinder (including VAT) respectively.

A representative from Petrolimex Gas Corporation stated that the retail price of gas continued to decrease in August due to the world gas contract price averaging USD 505 per ton, a decrease of USD 55 per ton compared to July. Therefore, Petrolimex Gas Corporation adjusted the selling price accordingly.

From the beginning of the year until now, gas prices have decreased five times and remained unchanged three times.

The continuous decrease in gas prices is considered positive amid concerns about living expenses. This not only reduces financial pressure on households but also facilitates businesses in balancing production and operating costs.
