The People’s Committee of Dong Nai Province has recently issued Document No. 1176/UBND-KTN to the Government Office and the Ministry of Construction, registering a list of projects to be inaugurated and commenced on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025) in Dong Nai Province.
According to this document, there are 8 projects with a total investment of over VND 50,000 billion that will be commenced and inaugurated in the province.
Six projects will be commenced, including:
Component Project 1 of the North-South Expressway Western Route, from Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) to Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc, now Dong Nai), with a length of over 124 km and a total investment of VND 19,965 billion. The project is invested by a consortium of Vingroup and Techtra.
Tri An Hydropower Plant Expansion Project with an installed capacity of 200MW and a total investment of VND 3,965 billion. The project is invested by EVN and directly managed by Power Project Management Board 3.
Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh Expressway Expansion Project, invested by Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC). The project involves expanding the section from Ring Road 2 to Ring Road 3 in Ho Chi Minh City from 4 lanes to 8-10 lanes. A new unit of Long Thanh Bridge will also be constructed with a scale of 5 lanes. The total investment for this project is VND 16,386 billion.
Dau Giay – Tan Phu Expressway Project, invested by a consortium of Truong Son – Son Hai Infrastructure Development and Transportation Investors and Constructors, with a scale of 4 lanes and a road width of 17 m. Sections with soft soil, bridges, and emergency stops will be constructed with a complete scale, with a road width of nearly 25 m. The total investment for this project is VND 8,408 billion.
Fiesta Apartment Building Project (commercial name block Fiesta of FIATO Airport City project) invested by Thang Long Hiep Phuoc One Member Co., Ltd. and developed by Thang Long Real Group (TLRG). The project is located on Ton Duc Thang Road (25B) – a vital road leading directly to Long Thanh Airport, with 18 floors and 435 apartments.
Social Housing Project in Bau Xeo Industrial Park Center invested by Thong Nhat Joint Stock Company. The project will construct 6 blocks of apartments with a total of 624 units (including 2 completed blocks and the upcoming construction of Block 4 with 75 units).
One project will be inaugurated: Component Project 1A of Tan Van – Nhon Trach Section, Phase 1 of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road No. 3, invested by My Thuan Project Management Board. This component project is 8.75 km long, connecting with the provincial road at Intersection 25B (Nhon Trach District, Dong Nai Province) and the end point connecting to Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway (in Ho Chi Minh City).
One project will be commenced: Ma Da Bridge Project, invested by Dong Nai Province Project Management Board. The bridge is 210 m long, starting at DT.753 road (in Dong Phu District, former Binh Phuoc Province) and ending at the connection road from Ma Da Bridge to Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4. The total investment for this project is VND 192 billion.
In addition, the inauguration of the Tan Van – Nhon Trach section, Nhon Trach Bridge on August 19; and the commencement of the expansion of Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway… will transform the infrastructure and economy of Dong Nai Province.
Key infrastructure projects under development in Dong Nai.
Previously, the Department of Construction invited investors to participate in a series of infrastructure projects in Dong Nai Province. Among the projects promoted for investment, transportation infrastructure accounts for a large proportion with 8 projects. Meanwhile, there are 3 projects in the fields of water supply, drainage, and wastewater treatment. The remaining 6 projects belong to the fields of urban and residential area development and the construction of the Provincial Political-Administrative Center.
The infrastructure projects include: Extension of the Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien metro line to Trang Bom; Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 (Phase 1); Upgrading and expanding Bui Van Hoa Street in Bien Hoa City; Cat Lai Bridge replacing the ferry; Dong Nai Bridge 2;
Road from Ma Da Bridge to Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4; Elevated road along National Highway 51 from Vung Tau Intersection to Circle 11; Extension of Huong Lo 2 to Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway.
These projects are implemented with mixed capital sources, including public investment, BOT, BT, land fund exploitation, and bidding for investor selection.
