According to a report by the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (VAMA), the total market sales in June 2025 reached 31,977 units, a 9% increase compared to May 2025.

This growth marks a recovery for the market after two consecutive months of decline. This positive result is largely attributed to the efforts of automakers and dealers offering price reductions.

Following the trend of previous months, the Vietnamese automobile market, in early August, continues to witness significant promotional programs from various car brands. These promotions focus on the best-selling models to further enhance their appeal to customers.

Leading the way is Hyundai Thanh Cong with a supportive program, offering a 50% registration fee discount for some passenger car lines. Specifically, consumers purchasing the Hyundai Tucson, Hyundai Accent, Hyundai Creta, and Hyundai Stargazer models in August will benefit from this policy.

The specific level of incentives will be applied flexibly depending on the model and version. Among them, the Tucson, Accent, and Creta are the three best-selling Hyundai models in Vietnam since the beginning of the year.

Taking the lead is the Tucson, with cumulative sales of 3,832 units in the first six months, leading the brand’s product range and ranking third in the segment.

With a price range of 769-989 million VND, the support for consumers buying the Tucson in August can vary from 38.5-49.5 million VND, depending on the version. The promotional price promises to maintain Tucson’s position in the top-selling C-segment SUVs.

Next is the Accent sedan, with a retail price of 439-569 million VND. With a 50% registration fee support from the brand, customers can save around 22-28.5 million VND when purchasing the Accent this month.

Notably, a survey of a dealership in Hanoi found that a few Accent 2024 high-end versions are offered at a price below 500 million VND, comparable to the low-end versions of some competitors.

The promotional programs from automakers and dealers are expected to boost Accent’s performance in the sales race. In the first half of 2025, Hyundai Accent sold 3,793 units, ranking second in the B-segment sedan market.

For the Hyundai Creta, an urban SUV with a price range of 599-715 million VND, the brand has introduced price reductions to stimulate demand, despite the model being relatively new, with a facelift version launched in June. The discounts for this B-segment SUV range from 30-35.75 million VND, depending on the version.

Finally, the Stargazer, priced at 489-599 million VND, receives a corresponding support of 24.5-30 million VND. With this incentive, the Korean MPV is now the most affordable in its segment, suitable for both family and business service customers.

In the Japanese car group, Toyota is supporting 50-100% of the registration fee and offering gifts for key models, including the Vios, Yaris Cross, and Corolla Cross. The Veloz Cross and Avanza Premio MPVs receive the highest discounts, ranging from 64.7-75 million VND.

Similarly, select versions of Honda’s CR-V, Civic, BR-V, and HR-V models are also being offered with a 50% registration fee discount by the brand. Additionally, the flagship City sedan (priced at 499-569 million VND) and the Civic hybrid version (priced at 999 million VND) come with a 100% registration fee waiver.

This wave of price reductions from multiple prominent brands presents a great opportunity for consumers to purchase automobiles at attractive prices. Simultaneously, it intensifies the sales competition among automakers, promising an exciting and dynamic landscape for the Vietnamese automobile market in August.
