The infographic below depicts the countries with the highest online consumer goods shopping rates in the world in 2024, according to a survey by Datareportal.

The data reveals that the United States and China lead in online shopping, with rates of 33.7% and 31.2%, respectively—nearly double the global average of 17.3%. They are followed by the UK (23.2%), South Korea (22%), and the Netherlands (20.9%).

At the other end of the spectrum, Chile, Switzerland, and Thailand have the lowest online shopping rates, with 11%, 11.3%, and 11.4%, respectively, indicating a strong preference for traditional shopping methods in these countries.
