As of August 1st, the combined wealth of Vietnam’s top 20 richest people on the stock market stood at 551.2 trillion VND, a decrease of 32.1 trillion VND compared to July 25th. Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong, Chairman of Vingroup, remains the richest person on the stock market with a net worth of 233.5 trillion VND. However, his wealth declined sharply by 22.7 trillion VND within just one week, equivalent to a 9% drop. Compared to the beginning of 2025, his wealth has increased by 18.9 trillion VND, or 9%.

Mr. Tran Dinh Long, Chairman of Hoa Phat Group, maintained his second position with a net worth of 49.8 trillion VND, a slight decrease of 1.8 trillion VND from the previous week, but still reflecting an 11% increase since the beginning of the year.

Notably, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Chairman of Vietjet Air, witnessed an impressive 34% growth in her wealth over the past month. As of August 1st, her net worth stood at 27.6 trillion VND, an increase of 6.9 trillion VND compared to the beginning of July. Her wealth also rose by 700 billion VND within the week.

The top 9 positions on the ranking remained unchanged from the previous week. Individuals associated with VPBank, such as Mr. Ngo Chi Dung, his wife, Hoang Anh Minh, and his mother, Vu Thi Quyen, all saw their wealth surge by 39% in the month, with each of them now holding 8.4 trillion VND.

Familiar names in the top 20 include Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang, Chairman of Masan Group; Mr. Do Anh Tuan, Chairman of Sunshine Group; Mr. Ho Hung Anh, Chairman of Techcombank; Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT; Mr. Nguyen Duc Tai, Chairman of The Gioi Di Dong; and Mr. Bui Thanh Nhon, Chairman of Novaland, among others.
