On August 5, the People’s Committee of Gia Lai province held a working session with Asia Urban Development Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Seoul, South Korea) and MDA E&C Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Hanoi, with a charter capital of VND 600 billion and 100% foreign-owned), two companies specializing in real estate investment, urban and industrial infrastructure development, and golf course construction.
During the session, the South Korean company proposed to invest in two international-standard golf and resort complex projects with an estimated total investment of $60 million and an area of approximately 550 hectares.
The projects aim to cater to the high-end recreational and entertainment needs of local residents and are expected to attract more international tourists, professional athletes, businessmen, and experts to Gia Lai.
According to Mr. Nguyen Huu Que, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, the proposed projects are in line with the master plan for the development of Gia Lai province for the period of 2021-2030 and a vision towards 2050.
He added that the province is well-prepared in terms of planning, clean land funds, and a conducive investment environment. Additionally, transportation infrastructure development is being strongly promoted, with key projects such as the second runway and synchronized works at the Phu Cat airport’s apron area, and the Quy Nhon-Pleiku expressway project being expedited for construction.
At the working session, the Department of Finance and the two enterprises signed a memorandum of investment cooperation to establish a cooperative relationship and provide support in researching and surveying investment opportunities in Gia Lai province.
