Vietnam’s leading industrial exhibition series, Vietnam Manufacturing Expo 2025 (VME) and Vietnam-Japan Supporting Industries Exhibition 2025 (SIE), officially kicked off at the I.C.E Hanoi International Exhibition Center. The event marks a significant milestone, celebrating 17 years of companionship with the manufacturing industry and over two decades of Vietnam-Japan collaborative development in supporting industries.

VME, annually organized by RX Tradex since 2008, is a leading trade exhibition in the field of machinery, equipment, and manufacturing technology. The exhibition gathers a series of advanced technology solutions such as smart factories, automation, AI, measurement, and control, among others. Meanwhile, SIE, organized by JETRO in collaboration with VIETRADE under the Vietnam-Japan Joint Initiative, has played a pivotal role in trade promotion for over 20 years in the supporting industries sector.

The year 2025 is considered a strategic turning point as Vietnam embarks on a transformative journey towards digitization, greenization, and deeper integration through new-generation FTAs. Against this backdrop, VME & SIE 2025 are expected to serve as a comprehensive platform for trade and technology promotion, contributing to the concretization of the government’s prioritized policies in supporting industries.

“Today’s exhibition is a vivid testament to this enduring partnership. It is not only a showcase of advanced products and technologies but also an effective bridge connecting Vietnamese and Japanese businesses. It offers a valuable opportunity for Vietnamese enterprises to understand market demands, enhance their management capabilities, expand business collaborations, and gradually become suppliers within the global value chains of multinational corporations,” shared Mr. Vu Ba Phu, Director of the Trade Promotion Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade (VIETRADE)

The event was also graced by Mr. Takakazu Watanabe, Minister-Counselor, Head of Economic Section, Embassy of Japan in Vietnam (EOJ); Mr. Haruhiko Ozasa, Chief Representative, Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) – Hanoi Office; and Ms. Varaporn Dhamcharee, General Director of RX Tradex Thailand and Vietnam, along with numerous delegates from Vietnamese and Japanese businesses, associations, investors, and strategic partners.

This year’s exhibition gathers nearly 200 international brands, showcasing a range of advanced manufacturing solutions such as smart factories, industrial robots, AI applications, and energy-saving technologies. Notably, several specialized activities are designed to enhance the practical value for participating enterprises:

Business Matching Area: Facilitating direct business matching between Vietnamese enterprises and international partners through hundreds of B2B sessions over three days.

Sourcing Area: Meeting with major buyers such as Toyota, Denso, and Hirota, helping Vietnamese businesses understand the technical standards and expectations of global corporations.

Robowork Station: Demonstrating the factory of the future with AI, robot, and new material technologies.

Thematic Workshops: Focusing on digital transformation, automation, AI, and policies for supporting industry development, featuring renowned domestic and international experts.

The event is open from 09:00 – 17:00 on August 6-8, 2025, at the I.C.E Hanoi International Exhibition Center, 91 Tran Hung Dao, Hanoi.
