The Vietnamese stock market continued its upward trajectory, with the VN-Index reaching a new record high despite several bouts of volatility. At the close of the August 7 session, the VN-Index gained 8.1 points to reach 1,581.81 points. Turnover value on the HoSE remained high at approximately VND 41,409 billion. Foreign trading was relatively balanced, with a net sell of VND 67 billion for the session. Specifically:

Foreigners net sold nearly VND 81 billion on HoSE

In the buying session, VPB shares were the most net bought by foreign investors in the entire market, with a value of about VND 443 billion, followed by HPG with a net buy value of VND 386 billion. In addition, banking stocks TPB and STB were also net bought by foreigners in the session, with values of over VND 100 billion each.

In contrast, FPT shares witnessed the strongest net sell-off in the session, with a value of VND 369 billion. Other stocks that were also net sold included GEX, VCB, VIX, and VHM, with values ranging from VND 103 billion to VND 158 billion.

Foreigners net bought about VND 54 billion on HNX

In terms of buying, CEO and SHS shares were the most net bought on the HNX, with values of VND 32-34 billion each. TNG, VCS, and VFS also witnessed net buying in the range of VND 4-7 billion per code.

On the opposite side, PVS and MBS experienced net selling on the HNX, with values of VND 21 billion and VND 10 billion, respectively. Additionally, IDC, IVS, and IDJ were net sold in the range of VND 1 billion to VND 4 billion per code.

Foreigners net sold nearly VND 40 billion on UPCOM

In the buying session, HNG shares were net bought for about VND 4 billion, followed by MPC and SGP, with net buy values of VND 2 billion and VND 1 billion, respectively. QNS and PXL also witnessed slight net buying on UPCOM in this session.

Conversely, ACV shares faced a strong net sell-off with a value of VND 35 billion. MCH and VEA were also net sold for VND 3-8 billion, while ABB and VEF experienced net selling in the range of VND hundreds of millions to VND 1 billion.
