The Prime Minister has recently approved the addition of the Hoa Lac – Hoa Binh Highway Expansion Project to the list of key national projects in the transport sector.
Specifically, Decision No. 1673/QD-TTg adds to Decision No. 884/QD-TTg dated July 23, 2022, the following key national and transport sector projects:
– Highway projects: Cho Moi – Bac Kan; Bac Kan – Cao Bang; Hoa Binh – Moc Chau (Km0+00 – Km19+00); Vinh – Thanh Thuy; Cam Lo – Lao Bao; Quang Ngai – Kon Tum; Quy Nhon – Pleiku; Ca Mau – Dat Mui; and expansion of the North-South Expressway in the eastern region through public-private partnerships;
– Highway expansion projects: Hoa Lac – Hoa Binh and Ho Chi Minh City – Trung Luong – My Thuan;
– Project to construct a road connecting Gia Binh Airport to the capital city of Hanoi;
– Road project connecting to Hon Khoai Port;
– Hon Khoai Port project;
– Expansion and upgrade project of Ca Mau Airport.
At the same time, Decision No. 1673/QD-TTg adjusts Clause 3 of Article 1 of Decision No. 752/QD-TTg dated April 11, 2025, on the Steering Committee members as follows:
The People’s Committees of the provinces and cities: Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hue, Da Nang, Can Tho, Lang Son, Son La, Cao Bang, Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Quang Ngai, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Dong Nai, Vinh Long, Tay Ninh, An Giang, Dong Thap, and Ca Mau.
The Decision took effect on August 6, 2025.
