On August 9, the People’s Committee of Tay Ninh province, in collaboration with the Management Board of Economic Zones and Industrial Development and Urban Development Joint Stock Company (IDTT), held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Thu Thua Industrial Park infrastructure development project.

This is the first industrial park in the new Tay Ninh province, following the merger of Long An and Tay Ninh provinces. The event is part of a series of activities celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2.

The project covers an area of over 170 hectares, with a total investment of more than VND 3,000 billion. It enjoys a strategic location, just 45km from Ho Chi Minh City and in close proximity to major highways and international ports. The industrial park aims to attract businesses in the fields of processing, manufacturing, supporting industries, electronics, logistics, and high-tech agriculture.

Mr. Le Thanh Tung, Chairman of IDTT’s Board of Directors, shared that the Thu Thua Industrial Park is designed with a modern and multi-functional layout, prioritizing clean industries and adopting green and smart standards. Its infrastructure integrates a wastewater treatment system, renewable energy sources, logistics facilities, worker accommodations, and commercial services, fostering a sustainable industrial ecosystem.

The project will be implemented in two phases: the first phase involves the construction of technical infrastructure, to be completed by the end of 2025, and the second phase entails expansion according to investor demand, expected to be finalized by 2026-2027.

It will also increase state budget revenues, improve incomes, and enhance social security. Additionally, it will serve as a crucial driver for Tay Ninh’s economic restructuring, shifting the focus from agriculture to industry and services, while also boosting the province’s competitiveness and investment attraction in this new phase of development.
