On August 6, 2025, the State Securities Commission (SSC) issued Decision No. 178/QD-XPHC on administrative sanctions in the field of securities and the securities market against Hoang Anh Gia Lai Joint Stock Company (code: HAG-HOSE).

Accordingly, HAG was fined VND 92.5 million for failing to disclose information as prescribed by law. Specifically, the company did not disclose information on the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) system for the following documents: Report on the situation of using the proceeds from bond issuance for bonds with outstanding balances audited by qualified audit organizations in 2023, 2024, and the first half of 2024.

In the second quarter of 2025, HAG recorded net revenue of VND 2,329 billion, up more than 50% over the same period last year (VND 1,521 billion); after-tax profit reached VND 510 billion, up 88% (nearly VND 271 billion) over the same period.

According to HAG, the sharp increase in profit in Q2/2025 was due to a rise in gross profit of VND 406 billion compared to the same period in 2024, mainly due to increased gross profit from banana business operations.

Loss from financial activities increased by VND 134 billion compared to the same period in 2024. The main reason was a VND 77 billion increase in provision expenses for long-term financial investments and a VND 55 billion increase in interest expenses.

Selling expenses and management expenses increased by VND 20 billion compared to the same period in 2024. There were no significant changes in the company’s other fields.

In the first six months of the year, the company’s net revenue reached VND 3,709 billion, up 34% over the same period (VND 2,762 billion), and after-tax profit reached VND 870 billion, up 74% over the same period in 2024 (VND 500 billion). Thus, the after-tax undistributed profit changed from a loss of VND 422.66 billion to a profit of nearly VND 400 billion.

As of June 30, 2025, HAG recorded a bond balance of VND 1,094 billion, of which long-term bonds accounted for nearly VND 815 billion.
