In its latest announcement, NET Detergent Joint Stock Company (code: NET) disclosed that it has received a tax penalty decision.
Specifically, NET engaged in incorrect declaration, resulting in an underpayment of taxes, and incorrect declaration that did not lead to an underpayment. The company was fined nearly VND 441 million for administrative and tax violations and was required to pay over VND 2.1 billion in unpaid taxes to the state budget. Of this amount, nearly VND 976 million was corporate income tax, and over VND 1.16 billion was value-added tax. Additionally, NET had to pay over VND 476 million in late payment fees.
Thus, the total amount of fines, back taxes, and late payment fees for NET exceeded VND 3 billion.
Established in 1968, NET is one of the leading domestic companies in Vietnam specializing in household care products. NETCO operates two factories, one in Hanoi and the other in Bien Hoa, with a designed capacity of 180,000 tons of detergent powder and 90,000 tons of liquid detergent. NET is a strategic partner of Unilever, supplying high-quality cleaning products such as OMO laundry detergent, Surf laundry detergent, Sunlight dishwashing liquid, and VIM floor cleaner. The company’s product supply to Unilever has consistently increased over the years.
In terms of business performance, in Q2 2025, NET’s revenue decreased by nearly 10% year-on-year to VND 352 billion. Consequently, after-tax profit reached VND 30 billion, a 40% decline compared to Q2 2024. In the first six months of 2025, revenue and after-tax profit amounted to VND 739 billion and VND 82 billion, respectively, representing a decrease of 2% and 15% from the same period last year.
In the market, NET shares closed at VND 77,900 per share on August 7.
