According to Báo Hà TÄ©nh, the People’s Committee of the province has recently submitted a document to the Government Office and the Ministry of Construction, registering five large-scale projects to be inaugurated or commenced in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025). Out of these five significant projects in Ha Tinh, one is set for inauguration, while the remaining four are slated for groundbreaking ceremonies.

Among the registered projects, the Vinhomes Vung Ang Industrial Park stands out. This project is owned by Vinhomes Ha Tinh Industrial Park Investment Joint Stock Company, a subsidiary of Vingroup, and is one of three key projects selected for groundbreaking in this period, alongside the Cua Sot Sea Square and the resettlement area serving the North-South high-speed railway route.

The Vinhomes Vung Ang Industrial Park project was approved by the Prime Minister on July 13, 2024, with a focus on investing in and operating the industrial park’s infrastructure. It encompasses an area of 964 hectares and entails a total investment of over VND 13,276 billion. This site will specialize in producing components and parts for the VinFast factory and the electric vehicle industry as a whole.

Strategically located in the central lots CN4 and CN5 of the Vung Ang Economic Zone, the project has a designated lifespan of 70 years, commencing from the date of approval of its investment policy and investor. Currently, over 60 hectares of land have been cleared, ensuring readiness for the upcoming groundbreaking ceremony.

With a substantial investment scale, the project is subject to stringent progress requirements and the attraction of ancillary projects. It is mandated that the total capital of inter-industry projects within the cluster must reach a minimum of USD 2 billion. Upon becoming operational, the industrial park is projected to contribute an average of VND 1,200 billion annually to the state budget.

Ha Tinh is the hometown of Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong, Chairman of Vingroup. In addition to the upcoming Vinhomes Vung Ang Industrial Park and the recently inaugurated VinFast Ha Tinh factory in July, Vingroup has also established the VinES electric vehicle battery factory in Vung Ang since late 2021. Spanning nearly 13 hectares, this factory started supplying batteries for the VF6 model in mid-2023.

The group has also expressed intentions to invest in additional projects, including port and logistics infrastructure and the Ky Ninh tourism resort, to support its electric vehicle factories and foster the development of the Vung Ang Economic Zone.
