With the spirit of “Unity – Democracy – Discipline – Breakthrough – Development,” the 4th Congress of the EVN Party Committee thoroughly reviewed the implementation of the resolutions of the tenure 2020-2025 and outlined orientations, tasks, and breakthrough solutions for the tenure 2025-2030.

During the 2020-2025 term, the Group overcame an extremely difficult period in the first half of the term, effectively handling legacy issues and shortcomings; restructuring and reorganizing the Group; and ensuring electricity production and supply for socio-economic development, national defense, and security, meeting the annual electricity growth rate of 10-15%; and contributing annually to the state budget in the range of VND 23-24 trillion.
The Congress set out orientations, tasks, and goals for the term 2025-2030, with the overall goal of “Building a truly clean and strong Party Committee; ensuring safe and stable electricity supply for the economy and people’s lives; accelerating investment in power sources and grids according to the master plan; enhancing transparent, lean, efficient, and effective corporate governance; continuing to strengthen the fight against corruption, wastefulness, and negativity; and promoting breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.”
Assessing the achievements of the Party Committee and the entire Group in the past term, the Prime Minister concluded with 36 words reflecting his trust and expectations for EVN: “Overcoming difficulties; restoring trust; strengthening unity; renewing mindset; taking decisive actions; adopting advanced governance; improving performance; receiving attention in institutional improvement; and demonstrating exemplary leadership.”

Prime Minister acknowledges EVN’s efforts in national development
The Prime Minister commended the dedication and efforts of the officers, workers, and employees, who persevered through challenges, “facing storms and fires,” to fulfill their tasks.
He praised EVN for its social welfare activities, allocating VND 1,262 billion for this purpose. He also pointed out areas for improvement, including the lack of a competitive electricity market; the need for more aggressive, bold, and breakthrough approaches in developing power sources and transmission grids; and ensuring that electricity price adjustments follow a roadmap without causing shocks, balancing the interests of enterprises and consumers.
The Prime Minister agreed with the goals set by the Congress for the next term, emphasizing the unwavering goal of meeting the electricity demands of the country’s development with a two-digit growth rate. Specifically, ensuring sufficient electricity for production, business, consumption, and people’s livelihoods.
He also expressed his aspiration for EVN to become the third-largest power corporation in the region and strive for even higher rankings, overcoming all the shortcomings and weaknesses that have been identified.
