In the afternoon of August 9, right after the 27th Congress of the Government Office Party Committee for the term 2025-2030 concluded, the Government Office Party Committee for the new term held its first session.
According to the Regulation No. 190-QD/TW dated October 10, 2024, issued by the Party Central Committee on the issuance of the Regulation on Election in the Party, the outgoing Secretary or Deputy Secretary, if re-elected, or a member appointed by the upper-level Party committee shall preside over the first session until the election of the Presidium or the Chair of the conference is completed.
Based on the above provisions, the first session of the Government Office Party Committee for the term 2025-2030 voted to elect Comrade Tran Van Son, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, to preside over the first session of the new term.

The first session of the Government Office Party Committee for the term 2025-2030 elected 10 officials to the Party Committee’s Standing Board, including: Tran Van Son, Minister and Head of the Government Office; Do Ngoc Huynh, Deputy Head of the Government Office; Trinh Manh Linh, Deputy Head of the Government Office; Nguyen Duc Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Government Office Party Committee; Mai Thi Thu Van, Deputy Head of the Government Office; Pham Manh Cuong, Deputy Head of the Government Office; Nguyen Sy Hiep, Deputy Head of the Government Office; Tran Kha Toan, Director of the Organization and Personnel Department; Tran Anh Tien, Director of the General Economic Department; and Nguyen Duc Cuong, Director of the Planning and Finance Department.
At the first session, the Government Office Party Committee for the term 2025-2030 elected Comrade Tran Van Son, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee, as the Secretary of the Government Office Party Committee for the term 2025-2030.
The first session also elected Comrades Nguyen Sy Hiep, Deputy Head of the Government Office, and Nguyen Duc Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Government Office Party Committee, as Deputy Secretaries of the Government Office Party Committee for the term 2025-2030.
At this session, the Inspection Commission of the Government Office Party Committee was elected, and Comrade Nguyen Duc Cuong, Director of the Planning and Finance Department, was elected as the Chairman of the Inspection Commission.
In his concluding remarks, Comrade Tran Van Son, Secretary of the Party Committee and Minister and Head of the Government Office, requested the Party Committee Office to finalize the report summarizing the work of the 2020-2025 term for submission to the Municipal Party Committee Standing Board and the Government for their opinions.
Comrade Tran Van Son also requested the Party Committee Office to coordinate with relevant agencies to complete the personnel records of the Party Committee, the Standing Board, the Secretary, the Chairman, and the Vice Chairman of the Inspection Commission for the 2025-2030 term. Once completed, the records should be reported to the Government Party Committee’s task forces for consideration and decision-making in accordance with regulations.
In addition, he asked for the preparation of the second session of the Party Committee. Specifically, the formation of sub-committees and supporting units, the issuance of regulations on the tasks, powers, and organizational structure of advisory bodies, the development of a framework program for the full term of the Party Committee as a basis for subsequent supplements and improvements, and the drafting of a document on the assignment of tasks to the members of the Government Office Party Committee for the term 2025-2030.
