On August 9th, the Traffic Police Department of Hue City, Vietnam, made a discovery of a large quantity of chicken feet cartilage being transported without clear origin documentation, and with an unpleasant odor.
Earlier, at the Km800+500 marker on National Highway 1, in Phong Thai Ward, Hue City, the traffic police team stopped a Hai Yen passenger car with Lao license plate number 2345, traveling from North to South. The driver, Nguyen Van Khoa (born 1986, residing in Hoa Vang Ward, Da Nang City), was suspected of carrying illegal goods.

19 polystyrene boxes containing one ton of malodorous chicken feet cartilage were seized from a sleeper bus passing through Hue City.
Upon inspecting the cargo hold, the authorities found 19 polystyrene boxes wrapped in plastic bags, containing approximately one ton of chicken feet cartilage, which emitted a strong odor.
The driver confessed that the goods were being transported from the Laos border to Da Nang City for consumption. The aforementioned goods have been confiscated by Hue City authorities for further handling in accordance with regulations.
