The upcoming arrival of hybrid vehicles such as the Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid, Palisade Hybrid, Lexus LX 700h, and Omoda C7 PHEV in Vietnam has sparked significant interest. These vehicles offer a perfect blend of performance and fuel efficiency.

In recent years, hybrid cars have become a popular choice in Vietnam. Models like the Toyota Corolla Cross and Honda CR-V have been well-received, and this trend is expected to continue. Subsequently, various new hybrid models from Japan, South Korea, and China were introduced to the market.

The Lexus LX 700h is a notable vehicle that has captured the attention of Vietnamese customers. At GIIAS 2025, Lexus showcased two versions of the LX 700h: a four-seater and a seven-seater. The prices for the seven-seater and four-seater versions are 206,800 USD (approximately 5.3 billion VND) and 239,500 USD (over 6.1 billion VND), respectively. The Palisade Hybrid, on the other hand, boasts an impressive fuel consumption of just 6.45 liters per 100 kilometers.

The Hyundai Palisade Hybrid impresses with its Smartstream 2.5 T-GDi Hybrid powertrain, offering exceptional fuel efficiency. Similarly, the Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid, soon to be launched in Vietnam, promises an average fuel consumption of just 5.1 liters per 100 kilometers for a mixed cycle. This SUV is larger than the CX-5 but boasts better fuel economy than the Vios, with a combined cycle consumption of just 5.77L/100 km.

The Omoda C7 PHEV is another highly anticipated model. The Chinese automaker has announced that the vehicle will be offered with two engine options: a turbocharged gasoline engine and a plug-in hybrid capable of external charging.
