The Phu Tho Provincial Police have recently busted a case of producing and trading prohibited goods, as well as forging documents of agencies and organizations, and using forged documents. The case involved Santex Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company, located in Thanh Oai Industrial Cluster, Hanoi.

So far, the investigating agency has initiated legal proceedings against the case and prosecuted six defendants, including Le Van Hieu (Director of Santex Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company) and Do Van Cuong (Director of ROPTHAR Vietnam Herbal Company).

The police also seized a large quantity of counterfeit goods, including nearly 12 million functional food capsules and nearly 77,000 liters of liquid solution.

The investigation results showed that from 2018 until the bust, Hieu, Cuong, and their accomplices produced and distributed tens of millions of functional food and health protection products with signs of counterfeiting, earning thousands of billions of VND in illegal profits.

Additionally, the Phu Tho Provincial Police also busted a case of forging documents of agencies and organizations, as well as producing and trading counterfeit foods involving FUSI Pharmaceutical Company Limited.

From November 2020 to June 2025, FUSI Pharmaceutical Company Limited signed contracts to produce 37 types of health protection products for Thao Nguyen Xanh Group Joint Stock Company. The appraisal results showed that 14 types of health protection products were counterfeited, with a total value of over VND 875 million.

The Investigative Police Agency determined that FUSI Pharmaceutical Company Limited signed contracts to produce health protection products for many companies, with a total value of VND 137 billion.

In mid-July, the Investigative Police Agency initiated legal proceedings against three defendants for forging documents of agencies and organizations and using forged documents of agencies and organizations.

31 types of health protection products of Thao Nguyen Xanh Group Joint Stock Company with a total quantity of over 716,000 film-coated tablets, 1,806 liters of liquid food, and over 31,700 grams of powdered food were temporarily seized.

Expanding the investigation of the case, the Investigative Police Agency decided to initiate legal proceedings against Duong Hung Thinh, Director of FUSI Pharmaceutical Company Limited, for producing and trading counterfeit foods.

The Phu Tho Provincial Police are expanding the investigation to clarify the case.
