At the forum, KN Holdings Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Samsung C&T to develop three floating solar power projects at the KN Srepok 3, KN Ialy Gia Lai, and KN Ialy Kon Tum hydroelectric plants. The total planned capacity is expected to reach 864MW.
These projects will utilize Direct Power Purchase Agreements (DPPAs), prioritizing the supply of clean energy to large consumers. This initiative reduces greenhouse gas emissions, promotes renewable energy use, and contributes to Vietnam’s green energy transition goals.

A representative from KN Holdings shared that Samsung C&T, a subsidiary of the Samsung Group, brings extensive experience in renewable energy projects with large-scale installations worldwide. The collaboration between the two companies will facilitate the development of KN Holdings’ large-scale floating solar projects, incorporating modern technology and efficient investment and operational practices. This partnership will contribute to Vietnam’s sustainable and clean energy goals.
The signing of the MoU at the Vietnam-South Korea Economic Forum, a high-level event chaired by the leaders of both countries, underscores the significant advancement in KN Holdings’ clean energy development strategy. It also demonstrates the company’s alignment with the new energy cooperation direction between Vietnam and South Korea, supporting their mutual commitments to emission reduction and green economic development.
