According to the Vietnam News Agency (VN Agency), during the State visit to the Republic of Korea, on the morning of August 12, local time, at the Vietnam-Korea Economic Forum entitled “Collaborative Development of Production Chains in the New Era,” General Secretary To Lam and Korean Prime Minister Kim Min Seok, along with high-ranking delegates from both countries, witnessed the signing of cooperation agreements between the two nations.

The cooperation agreements between ministries, sectors, and localities of Vietnam and their Korean partners include:

– Vietnam News Agency and Yonhap News Agency of the Republic of Korea cooperate in news operations in the new period.

– Hai Phong City and SK LEAVEO CO., LTD. cooperate to promote green growth development in Hai Phong.

– Hanoi capital and One Law Partners (OLP) cooperate to build an investment plan and develop the Hoa Lac High-Tech Park.

– Khanh Hoa province and SK Innovation cooperate to develop the Specialized Energy Industry Cluster (SEIC), including investing in liquefied natural gas (LNG) in Khanh Hoa, distributed energy resources (DER), and related LNG logistics industries.

– Ca Mau province and SK Innovation strategically cooperate to develop the Specialized Energy Industry Cluster (SEIC), including LNG projects and initiatives to develop regional industries and agriculture.

– Can Tho City and SK Innovation cooperate to develop diverse solutions for clean energy technology.

– Bac Ninh province and Si Flex Company cooperate to expand and increase Si Flex’s investment in a project in an industrial park in Bac Ninh province.

Additionally, there are cooperation agreements in the fields of energy and industry, including:

– Vietnam Maritime Corporation (VIMC) and HD Hyundai Group cooperate to establish a joint venture for shipbuilding.

– Vietnam Electricity (EVN) and Hyosung Heavy Industries Corporation collaborate to implement STATCOM projects and smart grid equipment in Vietnam, including the potential for transformer manufacturing in the country.

– Saigon Telecommunications Technology Corporation (SAIGONTEL – SGT), G-GROUP, ZUP, and Korea Technology and Future (KTNF) cooperate to develop a leading data center ecosystem and server platform in Vietnam.

– Phu My Investment Group Joint Stock Company and Eric C&C cooperate to develop an automated port, smart logistics solutions, and digital infrastructure to serve Phu My Port.

– Vietnam Rubber Group and New Korea Trading Corp. sign a cooperation agreement to consume high-tech agricultural products in the Korean market.

– KN Holdings presents a memorandum of understanding with Samsung C&T to implement three floating solar power projects on KN Srepok 3, KN Ialy Gia Lai, and KN Ialy Kontum reservoirs with a total capacity of 864 MW. These projects will prioritize selling electricity through the DPPA mechanism to large power consumers, contributing to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting renewable energy use in Vietnam.

– Viet Phuc Company and MIDAS HOIDING CO., LTD. cooperate to develop a fruit preservation system, build a cold logistics processing base, and expand cooperation in other fields in the agricultural value chain.

Financial, banking, service, and tourism cooperation agreements include:

– National Innovation Center (NIC), Nextrans, and Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) cooperate in innovation investment, startups, and support for the formation and development of the National Innovation Fund.

– BIDV and Hana Bank coordinate in implementing cross-border payment services via QR codes from South Korea to Vietnam, with Hana and BIDV serving as intermediary payment banks.

– Saigon Tourism Corporation (Saigontourist Group) – Saigon Exhibition and Fair Joint Venture Company, Saigontourist Travel Company, Vietnam Airlines, and Korea Tourism Organization (KTO); Hana Tour; COEX Convention and Exhibition Center cooperate to develop tourism services and digital technology in transportation, aviation, services, and tourism between Vietnam and Korea.

– Military Bank and SK Innovation, along with Seojin System, cooperate to provide financial and banking services in Vietnam.

– Vinpearl Joint Stock Company, Hana Tour, HKG, and Marketing Highlands cooperate to promote tourism between Vietnam and Korea.

– CT Group, Airbility, Imagis, and Inha University (Korea) collaborate with Airbility to export 5,000 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), with Imagis to export 100 million semiconductor chips, and with Inha University to train and transfer semiconductor technology.

– EPSI Trading and Service Company Limited and Myongji Medical Foundation cooperate to develop, operate, and manage leading elderly care hospitals, resorts, and rehabilitation centers in the Ho Tram – Xuyen Moc area.

High-quality human resource training cooperation agreements include:

– Hanoi National University and SUNGKYUNKWAN University, along with KEPCO-KDN, cooperate in training high-quality human resources, exchanging lecturers, implementing applied research, and transferring technology, especially in the fields of semiconductors, biotechnology, and biosciences.

– Hanoi University of Technology cooperates in student and lecturer exchange programs, internships, and human resource training in strategic technologies, scientific research, and technology transfer with partners, including Hyosung Dong Nai, Pohang University of Science and Technology, Kyungpook National University, and Seoul National University’s Engineering School.

– Vietnam Railway Transportation Joint Stock Company and SR Company cooperate in developing human resources in the fields of construction, engineering, and management of high-speed railway operations and urban railway signal systems.

– FPT Corporation, FPT University, and Gachon University, along with Abov Semiconductor, cooperate in the 2+2 semiconductor training program that integrates training and enterprise; enhancing the quality of research and professional training for semiconductor lecturers.

– Dai Nam University and Yeungnam University agree to cooperate in the 2+2 linkage training program in the semiconductor industry.

– Postal Telecommunications Technology University and Chung Ang University agree to cooperate in a double-degree training program in the field of multimedia technology and establish a Vietnam-Korea Converged Virtual School model, researching and developing technology applications in the cultural industry.

– University of Transport Technology and Korea National University of Transportation cooperate to implement a dual bachelor’s degree program in the field of high-speed railway engineering, participate in training and internship programs for lecturers in high-speed railway and urban railway signal systems, and accept students.

– Duy Tan University and Chungbuk National University agree to cooperate in implementing a dual bachelor’s degree program and a linked master’s degree training program (with tuition exemption for Duy Tan University students) in fields such as technology, AI, and semiconductors. They also agree to cooperate in scientific research between lecturers of the two universities to form strong research groups in technology and AI with the financial support of the Korean government.
