In the past month (from July to August 2025), poultry egg prices have surged across the board, with increases ranging from 20-35%, equivalent to 1,000 – 1,500 VND per egg.
Information from Hoa Phat Group revealed that record-low egg prices in the early months of the year prompted many small-scale farmers to cut their losses and reduce their flocks, leading to a decrease in supply. Importing eggs from familiar markets like Thailand and Cambodia was disrupted due to trade policy adjustments and rising logistics costs.
Meanwhile, domestic consumption demand has recovered rapidly, driving up egg prices to recent highs. This is partly due to the peak season for mooncake production, during which businesses purchase large quantities of poultry eggs.
The fluctuation in egg prices in Vietnam is cyclical and a market reaction to the previous oversupply situation. It is distinct from the egg crisis in the US this year, which was caused by a sudden and severe supply shock due to avian influenza.
Vietnamese experts warn that while farmers are rejoicing over their profits, the current high prices may not be sustainable. If farmers rush to restock their flocks, the market may fall into a “bumper crop, low price” situation again in the next 5-6 months.
In the context of record-low egg prices and their recent surge, the corporation of billionaire Tran Dinh Long announced that the first seven months of 2025 still recorded a 135% profit growth in poultry farming compared to the same period last year.
Hoa Phat maintained stable production, averaging nearly 1 million eggs per day, equivalent to the highest capacity in 2024.
Amidst market volatility, Hoa Phat Poultry has maintained stable production thanks to its closed farming system and tight control over disease factors, biosecurity, and supply chain inputs. The company supplies nearly 1 million commercial poultry eggs to the market daily.
In 2024, total production exceeded 330 million eggs, an increase of nearly 20 million eggs compared to the previous year.

Hoa Phat eggs are now available in over 100 supermarkets, convenience store chains, and retail outlets in Hanoi, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, and many other provinces. In addition to retail channels, the products are also consumed through canteens, schools, restaurants, hotels, and industrial parks.
