The Board of Directors of Tre Viet Aviation Joint Stock Company (Bamboo Airways) has announced the approval of the resignations of Mr. Pham Ngoc Vinh, Chairman of the Board, and Mr. Luong Hoai Nam, CEO, effective August 13th. Both leaders cited personal reasons for their departure.

Notably, Mr. Pham Ngoc Vinh had only taken up the position on July 10th, serving as Chairman for just over a month.

To ensure seamless and stable operations, the Bamboo Airways Board promptly appointed new leaders on the same day.

Mr. Le Thai Sam has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Board, replacing Mr. Pham Ngoc Vinh. Simultaneously, Mr. Truong Phuong Thanh has been appointed as the new CEO, taking over from Mr. Luong Hoai Nam, also effective August 13th.

According to the airline, Mr. Le Thai Sam has a deep understanding of the investment and business environment in Vietnam. He possesses extensive experience in investment strategy formulation, risk management, and market analysis. He also maintains strong relationships with investment funds and prominent economic organizations both domestically and internationally.

Notably, Mr. Sam joined the company in 2022 and quickly became its largest shareholder. During his tenure as Chairman of the Board (July 2023 – February 2024) and subsequent role as Vice Chairman, he actively contributed to the company’s governance and operations, especially during its transition and comprehensive restructuring phase.

Similarly, Mr. Truong Phuong Thanh is also a familiar face at Bamboo Airways, boasting nearly 30 years of experience in the aviation industry. He has held several leadership positions at prominent aviation companies.

Mr. Thanh has a strong connection with Bamboo Airways, having served as its Deputy General Director from 2019 to 2024, overseeing crucial aspects, particularly ground operations. After a brief departure, he rejoined the company in June 2025 as Deputy General Director once again.
