Hong Ha Ward, established through the merger of parts of 12 wards across five districts: Hoan Kiem, Tay Ho, Ba Dinh, Long Bien, and Hai Ba Trung, now encompasses the entire right bank of the Red River from Nhat Tan Bridge to Vinh Tuy Bridge. With an area of 16.61 km2 and a population of 126,000, it is one of the largest and most unique wards in Hanoi.

As outlined in the political report presented at the conference, the predecessor local Party committees and authorities in Hong Ha Ward have made remarkable efforts to overcome challenges, maintain economic stability and social order, ensure national defense and security, and improve people’s lives. There has been a strong focus on Party building, including political and ideological education, internal political protection, enhancing the quality of Party cell activities, recruiting new party members, and leveraging information technology in management.

The local economy has maintained stable growth, with a proper structural shift, and trade and services accounting for 98.1%. Various development projects linked to tourism and the Nhat Tan peach and Tu Lien ornamental tree villages have been effectively implemented, and annual budget revenue has exceeded plans.

For the new term of 2025-2030, the Hong Ha Ward Party Committee aims to maximize resources for socio-economic development, creating a civilized and modern urban landscape. The focus is on leveraging land resources to drive economic growth. Additionally, efforts will be made to streamline the political system, build a capable and dedicated team of officials, and strive to make Hong Ha Ward a model of urban civilization and modernity, a new bright spot in the capital city’s development.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Chairman of the Municipal People’s Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan acknowledged the challenges faced by the newly established ward and its Party committee and authorities. Despite these challenges, the ward has quickly stabilized its organizations, from the Ward Party Committee and People’s Committee to the neighborhood groups, and is now ready to function normally. Hong Ha Ward is also the first newly established ward in the city to hold a Party Congress.

According to Vice Secretary Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, for the 2025-2030 term, Hanoi city has oriented Hong Ha Ward to become a new urban development center, harmoniously combining ecology, culture, history, and modernity. To achieve this goal, the Ward Party Committee has set a target for the next five years: “Mobilizing all resources to create a breakthrough in building a prosperous, beautiful, civilized, and modern Hong Ha Ward, with a riverside urban highlight, making an important contribution to the city and the country’s confident steps in the new era, the era of the nation’s rise.”

On behalf of the Ward Party Committee, Secretary of the Ward Party Committee and Chairman of the Ward People’s Council Bui Tuan Anh acknowledged the directions and guidance of Vice Secretary Nguyen Ngoc Tuan. Immediately after the conference, the Ward Party Committee will focus on key tasks, including: Propagating and popularizing the results and resolutions of the conference to all officials, party members, and people in the ward; promptly building programs and plans to implement the resolutions in line with practical situations and with the highest sense of responsibility.

At the conference, important decisions were announced, including the Decision on the appointment of the Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, the Secretary, the Vice Secretary, and the Inspection Committee of the Hong Ha Ward Party Committee for the term 2025-2030; and the Decision on the delegation to attend the 18th Congress of the Hanoi Party Committee for the term 2025-2030. With a high sense of responsibility and unity, 100% of the delegates attending the conference voted to pass the Resolution of the 1st Congress of Hong Ha Ward.
