On August 2, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh made his eighth visit to the Long Thanh International Airport project in Dong Nai province. During this trip, the Prime Minister boosted the morale of the engineers and workers at this grand construction site. Notably, the expressways leading to Long Thanh Airport are being vigorously developed to facilitate future transportation connections.

The project is not just a symbol of development but also an opportunity for economic growth in the region. According to the Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), once operational, Long Thanh International Airport is expected to serve approximately 80% of international passengers currently using Tan Son Nhat International Airport. With a design capacity of 25 million passengers per year in the first phase, the pressure on connecting transportation routes will be immense, especially on the Hochiminh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway.
