According to a report by the Ministry of Construction, as of August 11, the Ministry has reviewed and compiled over 250 large projects and constructions of ministries, sectors, localities, corporations, and general companies in 34 provinces and cities. These projects and constructions meet the requirements for groundbreaking and inauguration, with a total investment of approximately VND 1,260,000 billion from state and other sources.

As planned, the groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies for these constructions will be held on August 19 with the main venue at the National Exhibition Center in Dong Anh, Hanoi, and 80 online and direct venues at the projects and constructions. The program will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television and local radio and television stations.

Yesterday afternoon (August 12), at a meeting of the Government’s Standing Committee on preparing for the organization of the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies of projects and constructions to celebrate the 80th National Day (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025).

The Prime Minister requested that agencies and units continue to review, update, and select truly representative constructions and projects; organize groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies to ensure practicality, effectiveness, impressiveness, solemnity, meaning, spread, economy, and compliance with regulations; and at the same time, do a good job of commending and honoring during this occasion. The Prime Minister noted to promote communication about the projects before, during, and after the event; and ensure security and safety for the event.

Previously, the Prime Minister issued a dispatch requesting provinces, cities, and related corporations to carefully review and complete investment, construction, and acceptance procedures for projects and constructions to ensure they meet the conditions for groundbreaking and inauguration, and send them to the Ministry of Construction before August 13.

Notably, among the infrastructure projects expected to be inaugurated on August 19 this time are Gia Binh Airport (Bac Ninh), Gia Nghia – Chon Thanh Expressway, Hanoi Ring Road 4, and the expansion of Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh Expressway…

National Key Project with a Capital of Over VND 7,000 Billion is Constructed at a Rapid Pace

The National Exhibition Center is a key national project in the field of trade and services, replacing the old Exhibition Center at Giang Vo. This project was started on August 30, 2024.

By the end of June 2025, the two most important items handed over first were the Kim Quy Exhibition House and the outdoor exhibition area. Among them, the Kim Quy Exhibition House has an area of nearly 105,000 m2, a height of over 56 m, and is planned with 9 halls.

In addition, the outdoor exhibition area has a total area of over 200,000 m2, suitable for events, exhibitions, cultural and tourist festivals on a large scale, and organizing many activities at the same time.

With a scale of 90 ha and a total investment of over VND 7,000 billion, the center is in the top 10 in the world in terms of total and exhibition area. It is also one of the large-scale projects and constructions that will be inaugurated on the occasion of the 80th National Day.

The exhibition of socio-economic achievements to celebrate the 80th National Day will be held from August 28 to September 5, 2025, with the main venue being the Kim Quy Exhibition House.
