Information from Báo An Giang: On August 11, the Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the An Giang People’s Committee, Hồ Văn Mừng, chaired a meeting with representatives from Vingroup in attendance to report on their registered investment projects and the implementation of the Group’s green transformation proposal.
At the meeting, representatives from Vingroup and leaders of provincial departments, along with the leadership of the An Giang People’s Committee, discussed and proposed solutions to address difficulties and problems arising in Vingroup’s projects in the province and the implementation of Vingroup’s green transformation proposal in the province.
Speaking at the meeting, regarding Vingroup’s proposals, Mr. Hồ Văn Mừng instructed the relevant departments to urgently review, study, and advise the People’s Committee on solutions to address the difficulties and problems in Vingroup’s projects in the province, following the proper procedures and in accordance with the law.
Mr. Mừng requested that Vingroup coordinate promptly with the provincial departments to immediately begin implementing the construction of the An Giang Green Transformation Proposal, focusing on the development of key industries such as green economy, green transportation, green infrastructure, green tourism, green governance, and green lifestyles, contributing to the sustainable socio-economic development and bringing practical benefits to the authorities and people of An Giang province.

Since the beginning of the year, not only in An Giang but also in other provinces, Vingroup has consecutively signed numerous memorandums of understanding to promote the green transformation process. VinSpeed – High-Speed Railway Investment and Development Joint Stock Company – is expected to invest in two new routes in 2025: Hanoi – Quang Ninh (120.4 km, reducing travel time from 4 hours to just over 20 minutes) and Ho Chi Minh City – Can Gio (designed speed of 350 km/h, taking only about 10 minutes). VinSpeed has also registered to invest in the North-South high-speed railway project. In parallel, Vingroup will develop a port and logistics center in Nam Do Son (Hai Phong) and Vung Ang (Ha Tinh), promoting trade and exports in key economic regions.
