“A New Era for Ninh Binh FC: Meet the Young and Dynamic New Chairman, Thai-Van Tran”

On August 13, Ninh Binh Football Club (Ninh Binh FC) held a grand ceremony to kick off the 2025-2026 season.

During the send-off event, Ninh Binh FC introduced Ms. Nguyen Ngoc My Anh as the new Chairman of the club. 

Born in 2001, My Anh is the first and youngest female Chairman in the history of V.League, taking on the leadership role at Ninh Binh FC.

My Anh is the eldest daughter of prominent businessman Nguyen Duc Thuy, often known as “Bầu Thụy,” and is renowned for her impressive academic achievements.

In 2013, Nguyen Ngoc My Anh moved to the United States for her education and residence. In 2016, she received a commendation from former US President Barack Obama for her outstanding academic performance while attending Forest Ridge School of the Sacred Heart in Bellevue, Washington—the same school once attended by Bill Gates’ daughter.

In a 2021 social media post, Nguyen Duc Thuy proudly shared a photo of My Anh’s 2016 certificate of commendation, awarded for her diligence, active participation, and self-motivation in her studies.

Nguyen Ngoc My Anh maintains a low profile in the media. She previously served as General Director and legal representative of Thaispace Joint Stock Company.

Established in December 2021, Thaispace aimed to organize the first-ever space flight from Phu Quoc, Vietnam, pending regulatory approvals. The company boasted a substantial registered capital of up to VND 26,688 billion, with Thaiholdings contributing 5% and Nguyen Duc Thuy holding 75%, while his two children, Nguyen Xuan Thai and Nguyen Ngoc My Anh, each owned 10%.

Nguyen Ngoc My Anh served as General Director until February 2022, when she was replaced by Trinh Van Thiem. Three months later, the company transformed from a joint-stock company to a limited liability company, reducing its charter capital to nearly VND 2,275 billion. Thaiholdings held a 16.98% stake, while Nguyen Duc Thuy owned the remaining 83.02%.

In June 2022, Thaispace Limited Liability Company changed its name to Bai Thom – Phu Quoc Trading and Service Investment Company Limited. The new ownership structure comprised Thaiholdings with a 16.98% stake, Pham Thu Hang with 40%, and Nguyen Chi Kien with 43.02%.

By October 2022, Thaiholdings had withdrawn its investment, and the new shareholder replacing them was none other than the company’s General Director, Trinh Van Thiem. The stakes of Pham Thu Hang and Nguyen Chi Kien remained unchanged.

In the 2024-2025 season, Ninh Binh FC, formerly known as Phu Dong Ninh Binh FC, dominated the league with 18 wins, 1 draw, and no losses by round 21. With their impressive performance, they secured the championship title three rounds early. Ninh Binh FC is one of the two newcomers to the V-League I for the 2025-2026 season.

The send-off ceremony also witnessed a strategic partnership signing between ThaiGroup Corporation and Ninh Binh FC, pledging their support in resources and brand promotion for the club.
