Trends in Post-Graduation Internship Search

On social media platforms like Threads, many young people share that even when applying for intern positions, they are rejected due to a ‘lack of experience’ – an irony when the first opportunity demands something that students have never had.

In response, many large enterprises have proactively launched programs such as ‘Talent Interns’ and ‘Management Trainees’ to provide students with early access to the real working environment.

Following this trend, since February 2022, J&T Express Vietnam has officially launched the ‘Internship – Talent Pool’ program, offering career exploration opportunities and development prospects for final-year students and fresh graduates.

Walking alongside hundreds of students

According to statistics from J&T Express Vietnam, the first recruitment round of the program attracted more than 40 interns at the head office.

Shortly after, 30% of the first batch of interns became official employees of the company, demonstrating the effectiveness of the ‘learn and work’ approach and the potential to find quality personnel from this intern pool.

Thanks to the success of the first season, the program has been expanded to most offices and branches nationwide since 2024, attracting hundreds of participating students.

In the first six months of 2025 alone, more than 300 students have interned at the company’s offices, further affirming the program’s reputation in training and developing young talent.

‘Learn Real – Work Real – Develop Real’

The highlight of the ‘Internship – Talent Pool’ program is its philosophy of ‘Real Work and Long-term Collaboration’.

Here, interns not only learn theories but also have the opportunity to directly engage in practical work and projects in various departments.

Through this approach, students will enhance their work skills, problem-solving mindset, and confidence as they enter the corporate world.

Ms. Kieu Thi Tien Dung, representing J&T Express, shared: ‘We believe that a good internship program should not only provide learning opportunities but also help students shape their future careers.

After more than three years of implementation, the ‘Internship – Talent Pool’ program has become a bridge for young talents to develop their careers at the company and, more importantly, assert themselves in the job market.’


Clear career development opportunities

Interning at J&T Express is not just a short-term work experience program. Outstanding interns will have the chance to become official employees and accompany the company for the long term.

The systematic training policy, along with a team of experienced mentors, has helped many young people mature quickly, gain confidence, and determine their career paths.

Vo Quang Thao Nguyen, a representative intern from the 2022 Network Department, shared: ‘I got to work on real projects and was given the opportunity to participate in large-scale projects. As a result, I grew both in my work mindset and soft skills and gained a clearer vision of my future career.’

Luu Ha My Ha, a 2022 HR intern who is now a full-time employee in the HR Department, said, “The environment here is truly professional and open. Mentors are always ready to support and discuss whenever I encounter difficulties, thanks to which I feel much more confident in taking the initiative at work.”

A Launchpad for Young Vietnamese Talent

With a vision to expand the ‘Internship – Talent Pool’ model nationwide, the company aims to create more quality internship opportunities, thereby becoming a solid ‘launchpad’ for students to confidently enter the real working environment.

At the same time, the program also serves as a strategic human resource solution, attracting young talents to ensure a qualified succession team for the company’s growing recruitment needs.
