“NCB Honored as ‘Best Workplace in Asia’ for the Third Time by HR Asia Awards”

On August 14, 2025, at the prestigious HR Asia Awards (HRAA) 2025, the National Commercial Joint Stock Bank (NCB) clinched a double victory by bagging the coveted "Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2025" and "Tech Empowerment Awards 2025" titles. This remarkable achievement solidifies NCB's position as a trailblazer in the Vietnamese financial industry, setting new standards for excellence in human resources and technological innovation.

With the theme “Multi-Generation Synergy,” the HR Asia Awards 2025 recognizes companies that foster a multi-generational working environment, emphasizing collaboration in their operations and creating sustainable value for their businesses and communities.

In the midst of the global digital transformation, HRAA introduces the “Tech Empowerment Awards 2025” category for the first time, honoring Vietnamese businesses that leverage technology to enhance the workplace, improve employee experiences, and boost operational efficiency.

NCB Receives Double Honors from HR Asia Awards 2025

By creating a cohesive, attractive, and efficient work environment intertwined with digital culture development, NCB excelled in both award categories.

In the “Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2025” category, NCB achieved an impressive score of 4.67/5. Notably, the bank’s Core, Self, and Group values scored 4.53, 4.69, and 4.78, respectively, surpassing the average scores of participating businesses and improving upon NCB’s previous years’ scores. This is the third consecutive year that NCB has received this prestigious recognition from HRAA.

In 2025, human resources management remains a key focus for NCB. The bank continuously develops and improves comprehensive HR policies, focusing on talent development, team engagement, and attraction with six main pillars: Compensation and Benefits; Development Opportunities; Culture and Environment; Empowering Leadership; Ideal Work, and Company Reputation. Today, NCB is recognized as a “new destination” for talent in the banking industry.

NCB Receives the “Best Workplaces in Asia” Award for the Third Consecutive Year

With a diverse workforce comprising three generations, Gen Y and Gen Z forming the majority, and an influx of senior personnel in recent years, NCB has focused on a strategy of enhancing service quality and digital transformation capabilities, fostering team unity, and developing a multi-generational environment brimming with growth opportunities, challenges, and career advancement.

Not only has NCB successfully defined its unique HR DNA, but all its activities are also closely aligned with its five core values of “Loyalty, Trust, Dedication, Refinement, and Transcendence.” These values serve as the common thread that shapes NCB’s identity in the market and unifies its staff, fostering a culture where differences are respected and encouraged, allowing generations to complement, mentor, and learn from each other. This synergy has crafted the profile of the new-era NCB employee, characterized by dynamism, creativity, passion, and dedication to the bank’s breakthrough development and positive contributions to the community.

“We attribute our appeal to competitive market compensation, extensive development opportunities for our talent, especially young professionals, and the guidance of our experienced, dedicated, and skilled senior management team,” shared Mr. Ta Kieu Hung, CEO of NCB. “Our employees are equipped with the necessary tools and skills to adapt flexibly, timely, and effectively to the new era’s context, bound together by our vibrant internal activities and the corporate culture we nurture daily.”

NCB Also Wins the “Tech-Leading Enterprise 2025” Award on Its First Nomination

This year, NCB also secured the “Tech-Leading Enterprise 2025” award on its first nomination. This achievement is a testament to the bank’s robust investments and improvements in technology infrastructure and solutions over the past year, with one of the primary goals being to establish a modern, dynamic, and efficient digital workplace, enhancing employee experiences. Simultaneously, NCB is committed to building a “digital culture” where people, technology, and data harmonize in the digital age to achieve new era triumphs.

“We firmly believe that our people are our most valuable asset, and it is their strength and drive that propel NCB’s success,” affirmed Mr. Ta Kieu Hung. “Together, we are crafting a happy working environment where every NCB employee can thrive and contribute to the organization’s growth and the community’s well-being.”

Over the past three years, NCB has strengthened its human resources with the addition of experienced professionals at various levels. Today, NCB boasts a talented team, particularly in senior management, with deep expertise and exceptional managerial skills in the financial and banking sector.

HRAA is a prestigious international annual award organized by HR Asia Magazine to recognize companies with outstanding HR policies, attractive benefits, and leading workplace environments in the region.

The evaluation and selection process follows the comprehensive TEAM engagement model and involves in-depth interviews to accurately assess the nominated units based on the award’s stringent criteria.
