The People’s Committee of Ca Mau province has announced its search for investors for a social housing project in An Xuyen ward. The project will be developed on a cleared 1.97-hectare site and will comprise six 12-story blocks with related infrastructure, totaling approximately 996 social and commercial apartment units. The total investment is estimated at over VND 1,215 billion. The project is expected to be completed within 36 months from the date of investment approval by the Ca Mau provincial government.

The social housing project in Tan Xuyen ward (old Ca Mau city) has completed 93 semi-detached houses.
The Ca Mau Department of Construction is responsible for announcing the project, evaluating investment proposals, and submitting them to the provincial People’s Committee for approval. The Department of Agriculture and Environment will handle land-related procedures once an investor is identified.
Currently, Ca Mau has two ongoing social housing projects. The social housing project in Tan Xuyen ward (old Ca Mau city) has completed 93 semi-detached social housing units but has not yet announced the application process for purchasing or renting. The social housing project in Ward 9, Commune 5 (old Ca Mau city) commenced construction in May 2025 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
Recently, the Ca Mau provincial People’s Committee also issued a decision on social housing support policies for employees with distant residences, effective from August 15, 2025. In addition to the general eligibility criteria, employees with one residence in Ca Mau province but located more than 20km from their workplace are eligible to purchase, rent, or rent-to-own social housing. The chosen social housing project must be within a 15km radius of the employee’s workplace.
As per the plan, Ca Mau province will implement 14 social housing projects in 2025, including 6 independent social housing projects with over 3,700 units and 8 social housing projects within commercial housing projects (20% land fund), offering more than 5,500 units.
