The People’s Committee of Hue City has issued a decision on land use conversion and leasing to Chuoi Gia Tri Trading Service Co., Ltd. Accordingly, the People’s Committee of Hue City converted the use of 14,141.8 sq. m of land in Thuy Xuan Ward and leased the entire land lot to Chuoi Gia Tri Company to implement the parking lot project for visiting Tu Duc and Dong Khanh tombs.
The land lease is in the form of a yearly land rent payment to the state. The company will lease the land until April 13, 2046. The rent that Chuoi Gia Tri Company has to pay is calculated based on three positions. Position 1 – an area of 4,089.1 sq. m priced at VND 3,113,400/sq. m; Position 2 – an area of 4,111.7 sq. m priced at VND 1,743,600/sq. m; and Position 3 – an area of 5,941.0 sq. m priced at VND 1,152,000/sq. m.

The People’s Committee of Hue City requires Chuoi Gia Tri Trading Service Co., Ltd. not to construct any structures on the land area that serves as a common entrance to the mausoleum of King Tu Duc’s concubines to ensure shared use.

The tomb of Le Nine-Rank Talent, King Tu Duc’s wife, has been reconstructed at its original location.
VTC News previously reported on the suspension of the above project after the tomb of King Tu Duc’s wife was leveled. Consequently, the entire project area remained an empty lot with waist-high weeds for several years. The project information board, set up more than half a decade ago, was torn and tattered, with faded words.
On June 20, 2017, the people of Thuy Xuan Ward and the Nguyen Phuc Clan Council (the royal family of the Nguyen Dynasty) reported that the unit implementing the parking lot project for visiting Tu Duc and Dong Khanh tombs had bulldozed the tomb of King Tu Duc. After the VTC News report, relevant forces joined the search and found the tomb stele about 100 meters from the grave. The stele was inscribed with the Han Chinese characters “Tiền triều Tài nhân Cửu giai Lê Thị Thụy Thục Thuận chi mộ”, indicating that it was the tomb of Le Nine-Rank Talent, one of King Tu Duc’s concubines.
