Among these projects, the Social Housing Project in the New Urban Area of Ward 5 (now belonging to An Xuyên Ward) stands out, with T&T Group as the investor. In December 2023, the New Urban Area of Ward 5, spanning 23 hectares and with a total investment of over VND 1,000 billion, was officially inaugurated.
According to the environmental impact assessment report prepared in January 2024, the social housing component will be developed on an area of 2.1 hectares, designed as low-rise apartments comprising approximately 1,241 units to accommodate around 4,956 residents. These buildings will have a maximum construction density of 58% and will not exceed 10 floors.
Additionally, Ca Mau province will also commence and inaugurate several other significant projects during this period, including: the expansion and upgrade of Ca Mau Airport (with a total investment of VND 2,400 billion by the Vietnam Airports Corporation); the Bac Lieu Sports Complex (spanning 4.4 hectares and costing over VND 360 billion); and the upgrade and expansion of the Ca Mau – Dam Doi road (from Hai Thuong Lan Ong Street to Xom Ruong Bridge).
