On August 11, a task force from Team 10 of the Hanoi Market Management Department, in collaboration with the Quang Minh Ward Police, inspected a batch of frozen food (pork spine bones) belonging to Quynh Huong Food Co., Ltd. The shipment was stored in the cold storage facility of HPC Kien Cuong JSC, located in Quang Minh Industrial Park, Me Linh District, Hanoi.

At the time of the inspection, the entire shipment of frozen pork spine bones, produced abroad, was packed in 786 cartons (20 kg each), totaling 15,720 kg. The packaging featured foreign language text along with Vietnamese labels, indicating a two-year shelf life from February 16, 2022.

Nearly 16 tons of frozen pork bones found past their expiration date by 18 months

Upon verification, it was revealed that since passing its expiration date, the batch of frozen pork spine bones from Quynh Huong Food Co., Ltd., stored at the HPC Kien Cuong cold storage facility, totaled 796 cartons (15,920 kg). Out of this, the company had sold 10 cartons (200 kg), leaving 786 cartons (15,720 kg) in the warehouse.

Team 10 of the Market Management Department has temporarily seized the entire shipment for further legal proceedings.
