According to Thaco’s report, four out of six corporations within its ecosystem are operating in Da Nang, with an investment scale of over $4 billion. In the first seven months, Thaco contributed nearly VND 7,000 billion to the state budget and aims to contribute around VND 20,000 billion by 2025.
In the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone, Thaco is investing in five large-scale projects totaling thousands of billions of VND. These projects include the Thaco Chu Lai Industrial Park (451 hectares), the expanded Automotive Mechanics Industrial Park (115 hectares), the Luong Cua Lo and Tam Hiep Inner Harbor Bridge, the Vietnam-Korea Industrial Park connection road to Vo Chi Cong Street, the Chu Lai Urban Area (188 hectares), the Chu Lai Urban Residential Area (188.56 hectares), and the Tam Hoa – Tam Tien Urban Residential, Service, and Tourism Area (phase 2 with 1,014 hectares).
Thaco is also in the process of establishing five Ngoc Linh ginseng growing areas spanning over 1,118 hectares. Most of this land is currently used by local people and businesses. The company has requested the Da Nang City authorities to inspect the land use status and structures on the land to devise a compensation plan and hand over the land to the investor.

Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee, shared that whenever he thought about industrial development, he would use Thaco as an example. “Today, after visiting Thaco’s factories, I am filled with emotions. Thaco’s success is remarkable…,” he added.
Thaco has made significant contributions to the development of Quang Nam Province in the past and Da Nang City today. In addition to its tax contributions, Thaco provides employment opportunities for local workers, attracts high-quality human resources, and develops local infrastructure.
Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee, proposed that the Standing Committee agree to recognize Thaco as a strategic investor in the city’s development orientation.
“In the future, the southern part of the city will focus on industrial development, with Thaco as the key player. I propose that the Standing Committee agree to recognize Thaco as a strategic investor and commit to accompanying and supporting the group in its development journey, sharing any difficulties they may face,” affirmed the Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee.
Regarding Thaco’s proposals for the five projects, Secretary Nguyen Van Quang instructed the Da Nang City People’s Committee and relevant units to focus on completing land clearance by October 2025 and expediting legal procedures for implementation. He requested that the City Party Committee Office include these projects in the list of key projects that must be reported on a monthly basis.
Secretary Nguyen Van Quang suggested that Thaco aim for a state budget contribution of VND 25,000 billion or more in the next two years and participate in investing in the Da Nang – Hoi An and Da Nang – Chu Lai urban railway projects, which are strategic for the 2025-2030 period.
At the meeting, Mr. Tran Ba Duong, Chairman of Thaco Group’s Board of Directors, expressed his gratitude for being recognized as a strategic investor in Quang Nam Province in the past and now in Da Nang City.
“In the future, we will continue to develop as a multinational industrial manufacturer based in Da Nang. Regarding logistics between Chu Lai Port and Lien Chieu Port, I agree to ensure supportive operations,” said Mr. Duong.
