The top 4 best-selling pickup trucks in Vietnam.

The Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (VAMA) has released its sales report for July 2025, highlighting some interesting trends in the pickup truck segment.

Notably, the Toyota Hilux surpassed the Mitsubishi Triton to claim the second spot in the segment for the second time, while the Triton had held this position for five months. However, year-to-date, the Triton still leads the Hilux by 225 units, with sales of 2,008 and 1,863 units respectively.

Model Q1 2025 Q2 2025 July 2025 YTD 2025 Market Share
Ford Ranger 3,762 4,023 1,598 9,383 68.84%
Mitsubishi Triton 1,000 816 272 2,088 15.32%
Toyota Hilux 578 895 390 1,863 13.67%
Isuzu D-Max 115 140 42 297 2.18%

Unsurprisingly, the Ford Ranger continues to dominate sales, recording 1,598 units sold in July. When compared to other internal combustion engine vehicles in VAMA’s report, the Ranger also takes the top spot. With these impressive results, the Ranger is likely to be the best-selling gasoline/diesel vehicle for July 2025.

On the other hand, the Isuzu D-Max is struggling to keep up with its competitors, consistently recording low sales figures. So far this year, the Japanese model has only sold 297 units, capturing 2.18% of the segment’s market share.

Based on these results, experts believe that the pickup truck segment, even though it’s only July, is likely to maintain its current standings. Barring any surprises, the Ford Ranger is expected to finish the year in the leading position, with the Isuzu D-Max trailing behind.

The segment’s main attraction lies in the battle for second place. Currently, the gap between the Mitsubishi Triton and Toyota Hilux stands at 225 units, which could easily be overcome in the remaining months.

The Nissan Navara, the final contender in Vietnam’s pickup truck segment, has not disclosed its sales figures. However, given Nissan’s declining market presence, it is unlikely that the Navara has achieved significant sales.
