Companies Finalizing Dividend Payouts for the Week of Aug 18-22

The company with the most impressive dividend payout ratio this week is NTC, at 60%. With nearly 24 million shares outstanding, the company will distribute approximately VND 144 billion. The ex-dividend date is Aug 22, and the payment date is set for Sep 25.

NTC has consistently paid high cash dividends to its shareholders over the years. From 2017 to 2023, NTC distributed dividends ranging from 60% to 120%.

As of the end of June, HOSE: PHR, a subsidiary of Vietnam Rubber Group, held the largest stake in NTC with 32.85% ownership. HOSE: GVR, another subsidiary of Vietnam Rubber Group, held 20.42%, while HOSE: SIP owned 19.95%. They stand to receive over VND 47 billion, VND 29 billion, and VND 28 billion, respectively.

Although GEE (GELEX Energy) ranks second with a dividend rate of 30% (VND 3,000/share), it shines with a total payout of nearly VND 1,100 billion. This is the first interim dividend for GEE in 2025. The ex-dividend date is Aug 20, and shareholders can expect to receive their dividends by Sep 10.

The 30% dividend rate was approved at the 2025 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders. However, according to the documents of the upcoming Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders on Aug 15, GEE proposes to adjust the dividend rate to 60%, comprising 40% in cash (VND 4,000/share) and 20% in shares (a bonus of 20 new shares for every 100 shares held). If approved, GEE will have at least one more cash dividend payout to fulfill its annual plan.

The parent group, HOSE: GEX, will receive the majority of the payout. With an 80% controlling stake, GEX is expected to receive over VND 878 billion. Another major shareholder, 3C, currently holding 5% of the capital, is projected to receive approximately VND 55 billion.

Another notable mention is BTT, which finalized the dividend payout for 2024 with a total rate of 30%. With over 13.5 million shares outstanding, the company plans to distribute VND 40.5 billion. The ex-dividend date is Aug 21, and the dividends will be paid out in two installments on Sep 10 and Oct 2, 2025, respectively, each at a rate of 15%.

Five companies will finalize the dividend payout in shares next week. MQN leads with a ratio of 17% (for every 100 shares held, investors will receive 17 new shares). The ex-dividend date is Aug 22.

SHB will also finalize the dividend payout in shares next week, with an ex-dividend date of Aug 18. The implementation ratio is set at 13%, and the bank is expected to issue over 528 million new shares.
