Vietnamese cuisine is incredibly diverse and renowned for its delicious dishes such as fried spring rolls, grilled pork with vermicelli, beef pho, and fresh spring rolls with shrimp and pork. When visiting Vietnam, many tourists share that one of their main goals is to indulge in as many local specialties as possible, alongside exploring scenic destinations and immersing themselves in the local culture.
However, a Brazilian family was exceptionally fortunate to indulge in a variety of Vietnamese delicacies without having to travel anywhere. The reason lies in their daughter-in-law, affectionately known as Rosa, who loves to cook and treat her in-laws to traditional dishes from her homeland.
In a video uploaded to Rosa’s YouTube channel, “Mẹ & Sam cuá»™c sống Brazil” (Mom & Sam’s Brazilian Life), the extended Brazilian family was treated to two Vietnamese specialties prepared by Rosa – beef stew and fried spring rolls. The family’s reaction delighted many viewers.

The Brazilian Family’s Reaction to Tasting Two Vietnamese Specialties
Rosa first introduces the entire lunch spread as her own creation. She invites her mother-in-law, siblings-in-law, and their children to her home to enjoy a Vietnamese feast. This isn’t Rosa’s first time hosting such an event – previously, she had treated her in-laws to beef pho, papaya salad, and watermelon salad.
This time, Rosa presents: “Today’s feast includes beef stew with bread, fried spring rolls with seafood, various dipping sauces… I made everything on this table myself.”

Once the extended Brazilian family is seated, Rosa instructs her mother-in-law: “Mom, this bread is for the beef stew. Please take the beef out onto a plate and eat it with the bread.”
After tasting the beef stew, Rosa’s mother-in-law exclaims: “I think I’ll stop cooking Brazilian food and switch to Vietnamese cuisine. It’s so delicious!” She continues to rave: “Oh my, this food is amazing!”

Rosa’s mother-in-law thoroughly enjoys the Vietnamese beef stew.
Rosa’s siblings-in-law particularly enjoy the fried spring rolls, commenting, “So good!” and “Delicious!” Rosa then explains that this dish has multiple names and can be called spring rolls or fried spring rolls.
They even suggest making fried spring rolls for the entire family to enjoy on Christmas. Rosa’s husband, speaking in Vietnamese, exclaims: “Delicious! So good!”

Rosa’s siblings-in-law especially love the fried spring rolls.
Rosa’s mother-in-law adds: “I need to learn how to cook these dishes. I find Vietnamese food 100% better than Italian food, kids. It’s truly delicious!”
One of Rosa’s siblings-in-law confesses: “I love this beef stew; it has a unique flavor.”
At the end of the clip, when Rosa asks how they enjoyed the meal, the Brazilian family exclaims, “Absolutely wonderful!” Rosa’s mother-in-law praises her, saying: “I’m so happy. My daughter-in-law is talented. You’re an excellent cook.”
Rosa’s video attracted 389,000 views, over 6,300 likes, and 520 comments. The majority of viewers were delighted by the Brazilian family’s reaction to Vietnamese cuisine.
One comment reads: “As a Vietnamese, I’m thrilled to see Brazilians enjoying our food. This Christmas, a French family also asked me to cook fish sauce chicken and grilled lemongrass pork skewers for them.”
Another viewer writes: “It’s wonderful to see everyone enjoying the food so much. The grandchildren are so enthusiastic about your cooking, Rosa. You’re an amazing Vietnamese daughter-in-law!”
A third comment observes: “What a friendly, lovely, and good-looking family, from the mother, son, and daughter to the in-laws… everyone is so wonderful!”
